Thanks! I was looking at another barracuda 2 from PSI when I ran across the WEN brand. Thanks for the helpful review!

Thanks for sharing, I have the same chuck but I do not have any clicking sound when running the lathe but my wen lathe is loud so I may not hear it, I did remove the chuck and found it did click a bit while shaking it but I could feel it was the individual jaws moving so I tighten the check and that stopped all the clicking sounds, I will try to listen for any sounds from the chuck and get back to you.
PS I could not find your video on the details hose adapter I would like to watch it

Hey Danny. Thanks for reaching out. The Wen chuck has been great. The clacking sound is minor and doesn't affect operation. Mine seems to be coming from inside...but not enough reason to disassemble it to find out. Here is my video on creating PVC adapters. One of my early ones! Thanks for your support!

For some reason, some of my workpieces are cutting unevenly, and I have no idea how to solve this problem.

Mine locked up out of the box. Jaws will not open. Any ideas?

Strange. Sounds like a lemon. Take it back?

@@DIYMark got it to work by poking around with it a little. Not a smooth mechanism, but if it does not lock up again it should work out OK for dedicated Cole jaws.

My wen chuck had some machine shavings left behind that caused it to lock up. Once I cleaned them out the problem solved and running smooth and true

For that price, I would just go ahead and get a quality chuck.

Good, quick review. Thanks. I’ll add that mine also has a very slight click to it, nothing like yours, but goes away when tightened. I think it is the slop in the jaws.
Regarding jaws, the tiny socket head cap screws are barely better than typical Chinese junk screws. If you tighten them too much you will round out the hex head and/or the tool. 4 in lb max, or plan to buy new screws and grind down the tool. Haha
Also, the associated WEN Pen Jaws (LA432D) will not open wide enough for ANY of my standard pen blanks, which was the reason I purchased this after finding out that the pen jaws do not fit my LA444 (need to buy the larger ones (LA434D) for the larger chuck.
Decent enough small chuck for small diameters though. And I added the Flat Jaws for bowls, which it works ok for that so far.
