Great upload, I don't think we'll EVER EVER see another Marlo & Shuffle T in battle rap ever like them when they're gone, they were honestly something incredibly special. And it's not JUST about the winning/losing, who's better, etc aspect of battle rap, what they brought were some historically funny, talented wordplay, and crafty moments that really changed the way people rapped in battles from then on, NOBODY were coming up with this crazy shit like "pandoming eachother" and actually like "acting out entire satirical scenarios" for a minute straight till they deliver with a massive punchline that makes the crowd roar laughing. I showed their freestyle at a wedding and some of the battles to my frickin wife even, and she absolutely was dying laughing, and she never cared AT ALL about battle rap before. Gonna' miss when they're finally retired, 'cause they brought a lot of joy to peoples lives and that kind of legacy is what makes the most lasting impression IMO.
Meh, it's a different style... as someone who's followed Illmaculate and Thesaurus through entire WRC's and scribble history, Marlo and Shuffle are just a hundred times better and more polished as a 2v2 playing off eachother. In the WRITTEN ERA they couldn't possibly beat Shuffle and Marlo, they're just too fucking well written and polished, its like trying to beat Shakespeare at his own game it wont happens... BUT in the freestyle era, of 30 seconds back and forth, then I'd totally say Illmac/Saurus would crush them, its just completely styles.
They said ‘get the Oreos out’ in reference to the time they did a concept rap/rap battle (search shuffle t and Marlo vs fantastick for some more context) about Oreos. Basically they’re playing on the joke that their competitors are so ‘good’ that they daren’t battle them and want to return to battling cookies in concepts to avoid defeat - whilst the joke is really that they are aware they are far superior to their opponents.
