This series is intended to help learners of Modern Standard Arabic who have at least completed the Gateway to Arabic Book Five to improve their listening and comprehension skills through a collection of short stories with an Islamic ethos from a book called ‘Room 101 and Other Stories’ written by Dr. Ahmad Bassam Saeh and translated into English by me. The book is available from our website gatewaytoarabic.com.
My plan is to divide each story into short episodes, each of which will begin with a reading of the Arabic text at a moderate speed. The same passage will then be revisited, this time with the English translation and an explanation of some key grammar points and vocabulary.
