I used one of these back in the early 90's but mine had the optional mirror attachment and really multiplied the flash output. They tend to be a little noisy but are still an excellent product. My favorite dash light was the Whelen Responder because it was just as bright but had a VERY quiet motor. Later units must have changed because they weren't as quiet.
The Whelen Responder did change the internal mechanism design in the late 1980's to the 2nd generation version, which was literally just a Cadet with a Responder base & dome. Funny thing is, when the Cadet officially replaced the Responder in 1991 Whelen simply used the same internal mechanism the 2nd gen Responder did and covered it with the newer Cadet outer base & dome. The Cadet may have looked like a brand new model but it was actually just a 2nd gen Responder with a slightly different outer covering... lol
There reliable, really bright, versatile, and CHEEP. Led dash lights are over priced and dont give you as many options or 360 degree coverage without spending over 300 dollars.. With this light I can mount it on the dash and on the roof. Respond with it on the dash and put it on the roof when on scene.. And they are just as bright as any led light..
@znovosad555... The DashLaser is something that is no longer offered. We do have the Code3 555 beacon available. We have something similar from Star/SVP that we can offer you: sirennet.com/svp1166h.html
I like how its brighter than the freedom bar! I still have my dashlaser and use it from 1989!
Rotators are a classic.

I had one mounted in my front windshield with the flash mirror. I loved that light. Worked for me for 12 years. I retired it when I switched cars.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the 5-flash mirror. Best halogen dash light in my opinion. I still have mine from when I first joined the fire dept.
I had and used a Blue and white high speed Dashlaser, with a 5 flash mirror. The light was awesome. I loved it
These were the loudest lights I ever used. They provided terrific light output but were NOISY!
They should make an LED version of this light. Although, it may be more simple to just buy and LED bulb...
The best and brightest halogen dash light is Federal Signal's FireBeam with the mirror! :)
Wish this was still offered!

Nice bright beam
The good ole' days of halogen beacons :)
Halogen is so much better than LED garbage.
I'm surprised that there are people still wanting halogen rotators

I used to have one of these....failed after 10 years of service when there was some short that grounded the lamp
Do they still sell these?
If I managed to purchased a used one from somewhere else, is there a way to get a new lens?
We can give you a hand. Please feel free to email us at: info@sirennet.com.
@SIRENNET
I have one of these and i am looking to find the Blue dome that goes over the rotator can y'all help a guy out!?
The DashLaser is discontinued product so the only source for parts is the used market, i.e. eBay.
Did they stop making these dashlights?
