I was lucky enough to drive the AMG GT-R when it first came out in 2017. Driving it on the Monticello Motor Club track was amazing. I still remember the power and that sound !

Honestly it's an amazing car I picked that over a Lambo it's actually faster top end and it's a little bit more understated so you're not getting harassed when you're out cruising and the build quality is fantastic and the interior is just amazing and you can actually put stuff in the trunk which I think is way more practical than a Lamborghini Huracan
Still very satisfied with our 18 GT. Which to me is also the sweetspot. Have the same facelift panamericana grill and the slightly higher output engine. Although the infotainment system is the old one, but for sports car is fine

Nice car but Porsche is the pinnacle of sports car engineering. Period. The new Porsche S Turbo would eat this car for lunch on a track, as would a GT3.
Yes the Viper had the quickest run at Nurburgring in 2016, but it also has about every record and is the all-time champ with 13 to be fair. The 2017 ACR totally rewrote the book, and has more then any other car in automotive racing history period. So yes, they are king of the blacktop and is going to be a long time before anyone will be able to overcome it..(if ever). The AMG GTs are sweet, and love the sound of that hand-built motor with titanium pipes ❤️.

Looks wise: Huracan, GT3 RS, NSX, GTR, R8 then AMG (baby shoe) GTR. Driving preference (granted I haven’t touched any of them): Huracan, GTR, GT3 RS, R8, NSX, GTR. Lambos have always been a dream ride for me.
I was going to trade my SL63 for one this spring... instead I sold my SL and invested the money in low priced stocks... your 3.6 seconds is because its rear wheel drive, if it was AWD it would be quicker, traction is an issue... I have done 3.6 with my SL63.. And the GTR is 400 lbs lighter. I think under ideal traction you could get 3.2..
I bought an E60 535xi manual transmission , and i upgraded turbos and other stuff, changed all gaskets and seals and tuned it for 500 wheels horsepower , the car cost me 6000 Canadian dollars , all the engine work including stage 2 turbos cost was an additional 5000 dollars , i already beat many modern stock AMGs , cars that cost 10 to 15 times the price of my car , this GT-R is obviously beautiful but going fast with style can be done for a lot cheaper than 200 grand ,
I get the whole catch the exhaust sound thing with mic right next to the exhaust, the air mixed with the sound doesn't sound good at all, you guys have always done that and that's the only gripe I have about watching these videos.

I dont like them either. They look an inch smaller than the standard rims. But they are a bit lighter and more expensive. Btw the standard ones on the GT R are the same as on the SLS BS.
Highly recommend the ceramic brakes with any AMG car - Ever see a one year old 63 at the dealership with 20-30,000km? It was traded when the steels wore out in 12 months and a brake job was $10k. Better to go ceramic from start.
AMG GTR and GT3RS are both track monsters, they're the best track focused sportscars in the market in my opinion！ With good tires and good skills. You should probably have confidence to beat any supercar around a track.

2023 here, 3 months after Nijigasaki NEXT SKY SEASON 3 OVA. MERCEDES AMG GT-R 2020 still is so gorgeous to drive!
This is a super car and so is the GT3RS. The Nissan GTR is debatable. The m2 is sports car.
The rear exhaust/diffuser setup is SICK IMHO.

My dad owned a 2018 AMG GT- R. the car felt so slow and heavy that we traded it in for a 2018 GT3RS. These cars are so over hyped.
I've driven a GTC and it certainly isn't slow. It's a touch heavy - 100 kg or so. But a GT3RS is a better track car. It's NOT over hyped at all.
