Then i saw if you want yellow or green it's actually $10k... $34k in options on this particular car, and this is where premium brand automaker's really beat you to death now. How great would it be if everyone just bought base models of these already fantastic cars and told the automaker where to stick their options.
the base model is really good already but when you have $200k to spend on a weekend/track toy $34k in options is there for you to add if you want - you don't have to add those options.

When he was spec-ing his car with Lambo, Lamborghini has a special program called "Add Personal" he said or something like that and this same color would have cost him $14,000. Yea, never wrap your cars with the official auto maker.
Well if ur gonna buy a car worth 200k then u should probably have enough to money to go unique to others......... Its not about saving money here supercars arent only for speed its a status symbol
I love a manual transmission as much as any car enthusiast, but a DCT is truly a wonderous and beautiful thing. On top of the unbelievable sounds this car makes, I enjoy hearing those instantaneous shifts as well
Great review. Thanks for putting up the nice work. I have a pre-facelift (2019) and absolutely love the car. It takes time to get familiar and comfortable with how the car behaves but once adapted, it’s such a unique driving experience.

I have the exact car review here it is such a great car. If you are thinking of one get it. You are right about the tires needing replacement- The cost doesn't bother me I just don't like a tire store goofing around with it so often, though I haven't needed to change the tires yet. I also have the yellow contrast stitching looks great. I am getting a Renntech Stage 3 put on it they did a dyno pull at the shop this weekend when I went over 3500 miles and stock it has 609 HP with high octane and they said that is the real number Mercedes understates it not sure why though.

Im considering trading my 2018 SL63 on one of these in the spring.. By the way, if you want to know what the actual benchmark for HP is on the GTR or other AMG models, go to the Renntech site, they say their dyno testing gets my car and the GTR just over 600 hp.. More than Mercedes says they are.
You can't really use those claims for anything. First off, every dyno is different. Secondly, Renntech uses STD correction, not SAE. Thirdly, Renntech uses a 12% drivetrain loss, which can only be described as borderline ridiculous. Fact is that if you pair it up against cars of similar weight and power, it does not stand out. Take a Ferrari 488 Spider for example. If Renntech's claims of about 610 bhp were true, they would be somewhat similar. Yes the Ferrari is rated at 661 bhp and Renntech claims about 610 bhp for this, but they are still of similar weight and the GTR has an ever so slightly more aggressive gearing. Reality is that in terms of straight line speed, the 488 Spider absolutely demolishes the GTR, and the 488 is not known for shooting above target. I like my GTR a lot, but I know what it is and is not, and it is definitely not a 600+ bhp car.
@@AB-80X yes all dynos are different for sure. I took my car to a shop and they said they didnt need to dyno it as they just did one, and they said 550 at the wheels... I dont know if its right or wrong. doesnt matter really.
@@twfinc6855 That's a red flag for me. If you have ECU work done, a before and after is a must, and make sure the car is heat soaked on both. The percentage between before and after is what matters. Let's say they take the car from 600 crank hp on their dyno to 660 crank ho. Then you gain 10%. If you want to be "conservative" when talking to others about the power of your car, in that case you can simply say that your car has 10% over stock, or in the case of say a GTR, that would be 635 bhp. That way you are never caught out making claims the car cannot back up. At least, that's how I go about this kind of stuff. I have seen some dynos roll a GTR to 630 bhp and others about 570. I know which one I trust the most, and it's not the 630 claim even though that would give a warm and fuzzy feeling. I cannot stand inflated dyno numbers.
This will be our next amg we have a 2019 c63 s and we absolutely love it but we went to the amg driving school and got to drive the gt r and we loved it so this will be our next car for sure

I have driven it much more- What a car!!! I have owned some amazing cars over the years this is a great combination of fairly rare, fast in the straights and turns. People enjoy it and it isn't as in your face as the Ferrari FF I had although the Ferrari was ferocious. I drive it daily- I live in the Santa Cruz mountains above Silicon Valley and it is a lot of fun on mountain roads. Sure footed and responsive. Even in race mode the ride isn't too firm for me- I like a firm handling car and hate the floating feeling some have in comfort mode. Such a great car man

a couple of slight upgrades and it would smoke a hellcat. My c63 is getting 620hp. if i upgrade the turbos i will get well over 700hp.
