    When I first started growing ranunculus, I was harvesting them at the wrong stage. Knowing when to harvest ranunculus will give you a better quality flower. For the largest, best quality ranunculus, follow the tips I outline in this how-to.

    Thanks so much for the tip. It’s very helpful, and even more helpful when we go shopping for cut ranunculus because they charge a lot for a bunch.
    I bought and planted ranunculus recently. I have some questions I hope you can help: 1. I can see a group of 2/3 bulbs with 1 main bulb starting to open big. But once the main bulb finishes blooming how do I get the other bulbs (of the same stem) to open as big as the main one? Currently they open into very tiny flower or stay as little bulbs. 2. If I want to get some flower for the vase, do I cut just the main bulb or I need to cut the whole stem to the bottom which includes all the small bulbs to promote more flowerings? The issue is the small bulbs never open up in a vase and even if some do they are also very tiny. Your help will be very appreciated.

    Where do you cut the ranunculus when harvesting? At soil level? Side babies and all?

    • @AntonioValenteFlower
      @AntonioValenteFlower  3 года назад +5

      Great question! Yes, I cut at soil level. Side babies and all. You’ll get better stem length. Of course, if you’re just growing for yourself, you could cut just above the side babies

    Hi Antonio, can you please show me where to cut the stem? On a plant like zinnias it’s easy to see the proper spot but for ranuncs and anemones do I go all the way to the earth?
