To me it would likely only vaporise the immediate area around the impact zone and create tidal wave shock waves. I would think the rest of the ocean would rush in to fill the gap. Unless the asteroid is like the size of half the moon. They seem to imply the water (now a tidal wave) all of it was displaced, then refills the void. Like dropping a huge, mega hot, mega heavy flat object into a tub. Some of it vaporises the rest is pushed on to the wall. Though logic seems to me that it would return rather fast since (as you said) it’s a higher elevation. The concept seems rather flimsy at best, not super scientific. Though an act of God could definitely due this.
It does, my mate had a streaming website when I went round his house and skipped through this and it was diabolical and Spolier!!!! It takes 30ish minutes for them to get on boat, then 15 odd minutes for them to wash up on shore. Theres hardly any action or monsters and not alot of time on Island then when they get back home the main woman goes into coma sort of thing, you think she's going to die then she lives and happy ending. It's shit
Good👍
Excellent
Wait so the premise is the ocean "retreated" upwards?
