I teach all the kids I take care of, whether they’re my patients, nieces & nephews, or friends’ kids, that their parents and I will have the same answer! Even when I get new patients, I have the conversation w/their parents about rules, discipline, behavior, etc. I tell them that we have to be on the same page ALL the time, or it just won’t work! So far, that’s the best thing I can do to help manage little ones. That way they know if I tell them something, their parents back me up, and vice versa! Otherwise, any kind of control or management of them in the home is a disaster!

Totally ridiculous parenting giving a kid a present everytime they receive so many stars by being good? When I was good I wasn't rewarded for it, when I acted up holy hell did I have hell to pay
