I used to be in the occult as well and the closer I got to the truth (that these guides and ancestors and even some healers were demonic), the more it attacked. I was so messed up in the head that I didn’t even trust Jesus at first. But he’s real, led me to the word, teachers of the Gospel, fellowships, etc. He removed the scales from my eyes and the veil of darkness from my mind and saved me. I wish he would save me. They keep doing predictions on me and saying God is behind it. Two prophetic people are saying what they say. I don't fully trust God, Im afraid of him, I think he hates me, and is out to get me. I'm so lost. I'm afraid I'm going to be giving over to reprobation or demons.

To be able to masquerade as an angel of light is deeply troubling. But at the same time, I still keep faith, although I'm not sure it could ever be up to popular Christian standard and theology which mostly says that we have to get it right before death.

The 3 wise man were men who studies the old testamend scriptures regarding prophecies about the coming messiah (jesus). They were man of wealth and studied nature, biology, etc. In the bible angels are sometimes referred to stars, so they didnt interpreted stars but they actually saw the light of angels who were showing them that the messiah was about to be or was born. Thats why they 'followed' the star.. the angels lead them to the place where jesus was born.
When they saw the light of the star, they knee exactly what it meant, because they were studying the scriptures and the prophecies of daniel who got information from God about the 70-week prophecy, which tells us when jesus would be born

I've felt a darkness around me for many years and prayer hasn't helped. A family member keeps telling me to go to a psychic that told her who was doing witchcraft and voodoo on her. She believes God used the psychic to turn things around for the better.
Have you repented of sins and iniquity? When we have unconfessed sin/iniquity, the devil has legal right to attack us. It isn’t that prayer isn’t working. 2 years ago, my 17 year old son started being contacted by spirits. At first it was loved ones and family members who had passed and who were coming to comfort him, but then others would appear asking for help and even just lingering around him and making him very uncomfortable. One night, a spirit woke him from his sleep. It was impersonating his grandfather and wanted my son to “allow it inside.” From that moment on, he would just pray to the Lord for protection whenever spirits would come and bother him. The encounters became fewer and fewer, and have now stopped. Anyways, please know that no spirit can be trusted. The one impersonating my father in law was so convincing, except that what it wanted from my son gave it away.

Obviously this person was heavily indoctrinated with the religious beliefs of her family. Therefore, she was confused. She may have “left” her beliefs for a while because of the confusion she probably still has, but the fear of eternal damnation bright her back to her original beliefs. This is the problem that a lot of people have. They get indoctrinated into believing a religion and then, it’s difficult to get it out of their mind. My recommendation for them is to read the Bible very carefully, and realize that is full of errors, contradictions, myths from other religions and therefore it is NOT the word of a god. There is no sin, there is no hell, there is no heaven. It’s only us in a cast universe that we are so lucky to see and understand (although partially still). Acquiring friends, acquiring knowledge, helping people succeed is the main goal of life. No need for gods.
