Yes! This was a valuable series. Currently pursuing an ICF credential and this video series felt like I was initiated (at least into an understanding) of what it means to be a part of the ICF and to uphold its ethics and standards. I also feel the sense of community that keeps coaching a safe, legitimate practice and service in our world. Thanks to all who contributed!
This is a fantastic overview of ethics and the expectations and obligations of coaches to their clients. Thanks to Michael and all expert presenters for their generosity in contributing to the series and to our coaching community learning and education.
A big thank you to ICF for the opportunity to delve deeper into studying Ethics in our community. I also thank the Brighton and speakers for engaging, flexible, and lively interactions that highlighted various aspects of the ethical code from different perspectives. I discovered many facets that enriched my understanding of how I can be even more useful to clients. And I felt a strong commitment to our profession.
Code of Ethics tends to be very dry topic. However, this series show otherwise. The different presenter sharing the different standard explained them very well and provide some example too. It makes it so much easier to understand and learn. Thank you Brighton for facilitating the entire series and a big THANK YOU to all the presenters for educating us on these standards.
In preparing for the PCC exam, I this video series on ethics brings ICF's Code of Ethics to life! It's a good investment of time topped only by the Interpretive Statements that was referred to repeatedly. Thank you!!!
Thank you. The Code comes alive when it is "talked through" rather than by merely reading it. My learning style was helped with this series. Clearly, a tremendous amount of work went into the process. Gratitude.
Thank you Michael, Brighton and the whole team for this fabulous job and all materials. Ethics is so important in terms of applying the code of ethics but also in terms of being ethical in coaching, in all our relations, and in our lives. This is one of the keys for a better world. Thanks again to the whole team for your amazing contribution to ICF Community. I truly appreciate your love of ethics.
The video series have been very helpful for me in comprehending the standards and the ethics and having the very people who worked on it to explain is an excellent idea with their clear explanations. A lot of work has gone into this and I feel so honoured that it is for my benefit in guiding me in all areas of the core values stated in providing the service. Loved the last 3 points summary by Michael at the end. Grateful for the efforts and contribution by everyone.
A valuable series on Ethics, well explained by all coaches and well received. I highly appreciate the efforts by Brighton and the entire team for bringing all the pieces together and putting them in the form of crisp and clear videos. Thanks again!

Thank you Brighton for creating these series, thank you to ICF for continuously reviewing and updating the Code of Ethics. It is a powerful tool for all parties to keep in mind what is important. Loved the last 3 points Michael shared in this last video. Thank you!
Thanks for all the series about the ICF code of Ethics. It has made it clearer for me about the terms and impacts for me as a professional coach. The timing is great, the sequences are balanced (speaking time between Brighton and the person sharing information around the topic involved). The examples given are clear. Great job and such a pleasure to also see cultural and gender diversity in it. I feel proud of being part of the ICF community.
Thank you, Brighton, and all ICF coaches in the videos! I love this format and enjoyed watching the series. Along with the interpretive statements, it has been extremely helpful while preparing for the CKA and to really dig deeper into what it means to adhere to the ICF Code of Ethics and be part of this international community of coaches. Thank you.
This series of videos is most helpful and is preparing me for ICF exam. The ethics as written are straight forward hearing from the speakers brought them to life with nuances and considerations that I had not thought of. Thank you!!
Thanks for this series! I am wondering WHY I have been in two years an ICF coaching program and never been asked to view this until I was ready to study for the examine. Really brought so much of my training full circle. Appreciate it!
The Code of Ethics and also the Core Competency series are a very valuable resource. Thank you for doing this. I'm studying for my certification, so these are wonderfully helpful.
This series on Ethics has been extremely powerful for me to review. Thanks for the depth of understanding and the passion each presenter had for their part in it. I really appreciate Michael for his final comments about 3 key things.
Very good series on the ICF ethics for coaching! Brighton West was a great host, bright, pleasant and supportive of his guests, as well as on occasion directing them well by asking good questions. All the different coach's who contributed offered their own energy and expertise in a professional and interesting manner.

This is the best ethics review that I have seen. I love the interview format, the short videos using coaches on the committee who are from around the world, and the thoughtful revision of the ICF Ethics. These videos, plus the Interpretive Statements available on the ICF site, have sparked deep engagement with the material. Thank you to all!

Thank you, Michael, Brighton, and the entire team of ethics for sharing valuable insights in this video series. One feedback from my end is that it would be good to have some case studies associated with each standard for better understanding for the coaches. Thanks again for the effort that has gone into creating this video series.
We are glad to share Paula. Thanks for watching. And we are filming a series on the Core Competencies now - so be sure to subscribe so you'll get notified when those come out later this year.
I found these very helpful to bring the code of ethics to life. I particularly appreciate the diversity of the presenters and their Individual perspectives. I do have two ?s- it seems they reference different values via the current ICF values at least twice in the series. That was confusing though I assume the values evolved after these videos were completed. On the standard related to “power differential”- there was not a clear answer to the question around how to manage that versus the “what” power dimension differential. I still think your question around how to manage It would be super useful to get some perspective on. I have to add that you also seem to be one of the happiest people on the planet Brighton and your energy is contagious! Grateful for you and the time you invested to create these.
Great ressource to understand deeply the code of ethics, in complement of the Insights and Considerations for Ethics (ICE) . Very useful to prepare ICF credential exam by really understandig and making the code of ethics more concrete. Thanks a lot! think I will look at it regularly. Great series! Watched them all in order to prepare for the CKA. Very valuable and really well done with so many terrific guests -- kept it interesting.
This presentation of the Code of Ethics was well worth the time. It was professionally done, informative and presented in such a way as to peak interest, hold attention and impart easily digestible information. I particularly liked how different members of the Review Committee expressed their interpretations. Something that could improve upon this, in my opinion, would be providing links or directions to items referenced in the presentation. For instance: The Interpretive Statements which go into more detail, where on the ICF Website can it be found quickly and easily? This would provide quicker access as one could highlight and paste to an open document to review at a different time, thus not breaking the flow of this presentation.
