The team last year who PLAYED in the Cotton Bowl had the heart, leadership, and SPIRIT that I think we were missing a bit this year. Will be very disappointed if any of our players sit out.
Is it disappointing or are we just going to be dissatisfied with the finish? I mean back to back potential double digit win season is still on the table. If you told me in 2022 that we would have that I would have been very excited to see it. Still a lot of potential ahead of the Tigers moving forward into next season I’m looking forward to it. MIZ
Burden is amazing. He didn't have a top notch healthy SEC QB throwing to him this season. Maclin was an inch taller, leaner, & faster. They say 4.43 40 but he seemed faster to me. He was also quicker, getting to full speed quickly, elusive, & could make ppl miss. That's why end arounds worked so often with him. Maclin also had a healthy C.Daniel throwing to him every game, & they weren't playing the caliber of SEC Defs we play now each week. Burden is an inch shorter, not as fast, but still really fast. They say he's a 4.41 guy, but to the eye test he's not as fast or as quick. He can't cut like Maclin to evade tackles, still great at it, just not Maclin. He's much better at breaking tackles, the best at it of any Tiger WR I've ever seen. His yds after contact are insane. Just wish he didn't dance so much, but I get it he's trying for YAC & he's damn good at it. Burden is truly one of the most amazing players that's ever played at MIZ. Its prob a wash between who's better. Doesnt surprise me Gabe said that, he always looks for the negative. We're really going to miss Wease and Burden next year. We've got a great young WR room, but not at that caliber, very few teams do. I just hope we keep Kirby. It'd suck to lose him.
Yes, this season is a disappointment. Cook didn't improve one bit. The OLine was a disappointment. Hopefully, we can hold onto Lamont Rogers and fill in with some others on defense to fill the obvious deficiencies in the secondary and replace what we're losing at LB.
100% a disappointing season. This was our year and every chance we had was embarrassing outside of the South Carolina game. It is going to be a ROUGH next few years in Columbia. If we don't get a transfer QB and/or Matt Zollers isn't the truth we are in BIG trouble
What do you mean SC has everything out there for them? They have no path the SECCG nor are they in any consideration for the CFP. They have the same possibility for their record that Mizzou has and some bowl game.
Just forget Mizzou ever getting ANY equal officiating. This game was just as bad as most others. The targeting on Cook, the non-PI call on Wease in the end zone, the taunting by the SC defender that wasn't called. It's ridiculous and will seemingly never change.
Yes it is disappointing. Not just missing the playoff but the blowout losses to A&M and Alabama and the struggles on offense. I thought 2008 was a disappointing season since there was such high expectations after the 2007 season. Somewhat like this season compared to last season.
This isn’t disappointing to me I do think tho next years the real test if they don’t win 10 to 11 wins then it’s disappointing, I say this cause I think next year is Eli drinkwitz prove it year can he replace and win with new players
Real close here. I think it’s a stretch to think they would jump to the upper echelons of college football. If they finish good with only 3 losses they’re in a much better place than past programs. JMO
Luther should not be allowed to walk on Senior day, he's not a senior. Go get your money, Luther, but don't steal the spotlight from REAL seniors that committed to being here for four years. And no Luther doesn't "deserve" it. He wasn't the superstar that others like Jeremy Maclin were. Glad he was here but he's gone and we'll move on.
If LBIII is not a senior then he should not be part of senior day unless his school status is Senior. We’ve got to stop watering down traditions! Otherwise they don’t have meaning.
I've been following Missouri football for over 60 years. I was a red shirt during the Dan Devine years. WTF are you talking about, kiddo? After drink has brought this team back into contention and make it relevant, you are ignorant enough to posit that a 9-10 game winning season could be disappointing? I might want to look at the LSU seasons the Alabama seasons and all the other teams that have lost games that they were supposed to have won. You should be proud of the tigers, especially in view of the program b4 Drink made this team a winner. B a fan who fans the flames of victory. Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska fans have made their programs by their loyalty and coming to the games. I've witnessed some pretty lean seasons and poor attendance by Missouri fans and I can't really call them fans if they only come when the team is winning 9 or 10 games a season. You sound like a kid who didn't get the presents he wanted for Christmas.
I think it’s ridiculous to say disappointing. Likely 10-2 at the end of the season and hopefully a bowl win. People have short memories. Mizzou has been a 500 type team for many years. Two years in a row with double digit wins sounds pretty good. For some reason people think this team is Georgia or Bama.
First, I am not sure that 10-2 is likely. Have you watched this team this season? Secondly, it has to do with expectations. Many predicted Mizzou as a playoff team and not only are they not going to the playoff but have multiple blowout losses and no one thinks they are Bama or Georgia. That is a ridiculous statement.
@ sticks and stones. Are you enjoying being disappointed at potential 9-3 season and a bowl win? You have to go back to Pinkel 2007-2008 for consecutive 10 win seasons. You seem to think winning college football games is easy. Last year Mizzou could have easily lost to MTSU, Memphis, K St and Florida but Mizzou had good fortune on their side. Didn’t have that this year. Shit happens

I think Luther should come back for his senior year and finish all 4 years don't think he's ready yet for NFL GO TIGERS
he will not come back
@@MikeMovilaI’m going to wish he does until he officially declares
There you go thinking again.
Win out this season & keep focusing on BUILDING a winning program!!!! MIZ🏈ZOU 🖤💛🖤
Glad your comments not turned off. Love your QB. Go Cocks!
Since I live in Jacksonville, Florida, I'm rooting for the tax lawyer all the way!
If we can finish out 2 and 0 I would not consider the season disappointing.

Yeah, Cook only came back from two painful injuries to beat Auburn. I'll bet a Franklin you never played a down of football.
Have you happen to notice the teams that we beat have beaten other ranked and unbeaten teams. You are a real connoisseur the game, sir.

I think it’s all good but injuries derailed this season.

How doesn’t he deserve it? Hes been here 3 years. Could have gone to ANY other school and chose Mizzou

south carolina is not making the CFP they are 7 and 3 no three loses team making the play offs

My bad. 9-3. I’ll still take it. And yes I’m a season ticket holder for the last 14 years so I’ve seen them play
@@TDL-xg5nnhow is it a ridiculous statement? Mizzou doesn’t have the track record for an upper tier team? Get a grip on reality
