He died long ago, but there are still some strange things that keep happening in and around the palace. There is a belief that he kept part of his soul inside an artefact hidden somewhere inside the palace. Some terrorists have created an improvised entrance to it, with the idea to find the artefact and use its powers for themselves, while some of the old Emperor's followers are also searching for it to save it from intruders. Lara has to find and use the new palace entrance herself to check the rumors and search for the artefact, while avoiding the infamous underground prison. She has just reached the nearby temple...
