- Experience van life on the Isle of Arran with my good friend Katie and me. The Isle of Arran lies off the west coast of Scotland in the Firth of Clyde and hosts impressive mountains, rugged beaches and fantastic wildlife. Join us as we enjoy van life and hike, swim and paddle our way around this beautiful Scottish isle.

I envy you. I have ancestors from the Isle of Arran and I'd give anything to be able to visit. It looks beautiful.

I live in the United States. South Carolina. So only a few thousand miles away, lol. But I would love to go there someday and meet my Henry relatives!😊

I love this. That scenery gave me goosebumps. I'm looking forward to returning to the Western Isles for a fifth time in the next to distant future and hopefully the next time I do it'll be to live there. Keep up these great videos. It looks like you ladies had a lot of fun!

You could go on some wonderful road trips. The sea was quite cold, colder than the lakes, but it was refreshing, a great way to wake up in the morning :) Have a fantastic week :)

@@TheGirlGoneNomad Only once i cycled round it in 2016. I can to the south west coast of Scotland in August i can see the Ilse of Arran from the seafront in the town where i live i cycled round the Isle of Bute and the ilse of Cambrae last year. I've never been up Goatfell.

@@TheGirlGoneNomad Hi, not really, I like it all from the granite mountainous North to the forestry and farmland of the south and everything in between. I also like all the quirks about the island like the Doctors Bath in Corrie, the standing stones in Machrie and of course sunsets from Pirnmil and plenty more. I do like a good storm when we are cut off for a few days in winter.
@@markbunyan9092 It all sounds absolutely wonderful! So much on one island, it certainly lives up to the title of 'Scotland in miniature'. I've just researched the Doctors Bath in Corrie, I hadn't heard of it before, what a great natural shoreside pool. Well I'm sold, like to visit in all seasons now to get the true Arran experience!
