The roman fort at Reculver was built in around AD200 and is one of the earliest forts in a chain calmed the Saxon Shore to defend Britannia against pirates and raiders from Europe

Pete, around 4:26 you mentioned People from Northern Germany were part of the solders stationed there.My understanding was that “Germany” was never occupied all the way to the north but stopped at the Limes along the Rhine. Can you please elaborate about it further ? Thank you. Greeting from the US from a Northern German !
Their location has not been fully located but is generally thought to be Germania inferior which the Romans regarded as the north so bordering on the area of Nijrmgen and Xanten
