I bought these, LOVE them. Breaking them in it sounds so much different now, like wow. Also initially I EQ'n them (sound profile on my PC, Realtek, "Party" mode and adjusted it a bit more from there to my liking. Never heard anything so clear,, vocals, the base is so tight and thumps hard, just love how none of the different parts (bass, vocals etc) bleed into each others areas as well. Just so great and so happy to buy these and the comfort is AWESOME. Got them on sale but they blow everything else away at this price point. You can definitely tell they are premium headphones and well worth the original $1000+ asking price.
I really like the Eligia. For the price, AUD $319, the are a bargin. Perhaps a little heavy, but comfortable. Very comfortable. Nicely built with a great case. They like a little power, but not power hungry. And they like to burn in. Not as overly good as the Focal clear, which I also own, but fantastic overall and good to travel with. Cheers
@residentzero Wow really? I did not know that. That's pretty awesome. Does it have an custom EQ as well as those presets? I'm not sure if it is worth double the price of the FiiO BTR13 though. It probably was prior to its release but yeah not anymore. Needs to drop in price severely with the recent competition.
I love and miss my Elear's. One of the drivers died after about 2 years of use. I've always wanted to taste the Focal sound signature again but I'm a little worried. But the Elegia is very cheap. Tempted.
@@bradleyaitchison yeah really good, solid. I did notice abit of a robotic noise overall from the pair so I sold them. But definitely worth a shot. Amazingly built. Feels like the Ferrari of headphones in build quality just a shame I didn’t like the sound.
@ozbloke36empty87 The dude already described everything I've just said in the beginning of the video. I don't want to have to equilize cuz that means I have to constantly change equizatuon or have a different sett8ng for my other headsets and IEM. Whatever tuning to get this POS to sound decent won't work on another headset. One day you will understand what I'm saying.
@@Ricer-b4n He never said at the beginning of the video or anywhere in the video for that matter that they have "No bass or no treble at all". Rewatch the video.
I paid $299 new almost three years ago. Excellent, and though the mids are very present, in no way do these sound like "AM radio" (a sound I am very familiar with, having grown up with a mother using a clock/radio AM alarm during my youth, as well as my grandfather on his car.) The bass is definitely not the focus, but if you analyze the highs, you will see they have lots of upper treble and air. But the mid treble is a bit underemphasized, which could give you that impression. Elegia has an unique sound, but not an AM sound. I do not EQ them at all and enjoy them as-is. But also have lots of other "normal" and otherwise headphones/earphones. I do not want to EQ them as then they lose their own character (or "bad sound" if you hate it.) (I actually like the Elegia for the treble air, disagreeing with the video creator. If it did not have this upper treble air, I would definitely not love it as much as I do. However, I admit the mids are emphasized, which on some recordings could mask the treble. Even then, I have other earphones with more exaggerated mid-mids, and the Elegia stock tuning never offended me-though it stood out as its own thing.)
Beautiful video, thanks! 👍

Glad you like them so much! I still have my pair and I don't plan to sell it anytime soon.

Well said!
Great review, can you give more information about the equalisation you are referring to. Is it an app?
Glad you found the review useful. I was referring to Oratory1990 parametric EQ preset that you can use with any software or hardware parametric EQ.

Wished the 1540 didn't hurt my head so much. Seems like soundwise it's still one of the best tuned closebacks.
It’s currently on sale for $329 AUD. I’m guessing it’s definitely worth that price?
Absolutely.
@@kinemosstech Bought for $216 USD or 329 AUD 😂
Just ordered my pair as well from A2A coming Monday.
How did you guys go? Thinking of grabbing them from addicted to audio as well

This is krap, even at $100. No bass, no treble, too veil, no spaciousness. Sounds like AM radio.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
You either got a faulty pair or you didn't EQ or both.
