Salafi path is long and needs patience, while others want things over night. As said in hadith, our Messenger draw one long line (siratul musteqim) and a lot of them short (paths of shaytan).

Because how do we know his successor wouldn't have been a pious leader and been just. But now we will never know and look at the numerous deaths. Look at Yemen, Iraq, Libya. Are they better than they were. This is why we are advised to be patient by the Prophet ﷺ and obey the ruler.
