Yes after sentomaru knows that luffy punched celestial, Sentomaru knew that he's not that bad guy but still they are pirates so proceed to fight
Sentomaru faced off against Luffy once before. He was able to descern a lot about Luffy during his fight, and the events that lead up to their first encounter. Not afraid to punch a Celestial Dragon. Does not use his own infamy, or the infamy of his father, or the fame of his grandfather. The fact Luffy not only broke into, but then proceeded to break out of Impel Down (Sentomaru becoming a marine would have granted some further knowledge into the matter). Luffy's willingness to jump into a war, he had no business being involved in.
Luffy may be a pirate, and he may be an idiot, but he is by no means a coward.
@@deathsheir2035 Sentomaru saw everything with his own eye's during paramount war but after that he respect's Luffy not as being a pirate but as a man.The point's you said are point on luffy never using the fame of his father and grandfather but relaying on his own fame. breaking in and out off impel down and trowning him self into the living hell of marineford with out a second off hesitation i would say there are many more marine's that respect Luffy but they cant show it

In retrospect he really shouldn't pretend to be something he's not. Especially a pirate who's bounty is higher than yours. Unless you're stupid enough world government and plenty of enemies after you.
In fairness, the higher your bounty is, the less people mess with you in a lot of situations.
Heck you can get your bounty so high and become an emperor and the government will essentially tell the navy to steer clear of your territory
@@natman2939 I learned in this series it doesn't matter if you are a pirate or work for the world government. They won't hesitate to make the first move. A person will always pick a fight with you no matter what your bounty. When you're out into the sea betrayal is everything to a pirate
When the day one piece will be finished then there will be not a single anime which come close to it or ever will it come ...mark my words 😤

Let's be honest, Naruto had good backstory but OP has the most important element in storytelling and that's characters in all episodes have a story and there's the world building if I hadn't said it already. One Piece is filled with Lore, backstory, heartbreak, and other things that would've otherwise severely trumped Naruto and Dbz. Don't get me wrong my heart is in Naruto but One Piece is gold in all era of Animation and artistic development. We don't just watch One Piece for its content alone. We watch the talented artists that make this possible and their growth from the goofy art style to the Beautiful, complex art style with shadows and ripples in the water and background characters having shadows and complexions. I hope I explained this appropriately because it's hard to explain things the way I explain them lol

@@sreetejapilla8339 If you recall during Punk Hazard, Chopper comments on Luffy's poison Resistance, which Luffy chalked up to Magellon(sp?). So He'll be better able to handle Magellon as a result.
