ᴴᴰ⁶⁰ ᴴᴰᴿ NYC Subway: 1 Hour of the Kawasaki R211A in service on the (A) Line - 2023 Compilation

The newest subway car in the New York City Subway system is here! Since March 10, 2023, it has been operating on the (A) line. Throughout the year, it has suffered through many technical/mechanical problems, such as LED signs not working, announcements playing at the wrong time/repeating themselves, and more recently, software issues and leaking gearboxes. Even to this day, some sets are still out of service, which delayed the retirement of the current R46 cars and deliveries to the rest of the R211 fleet.
Throughout 2023, I have caught the R211A running on the (A) line on several occasions and while some clips have been released through my regular railfanning videos, some have been preserved for this one-hour compilation! Enjoy!

Once more R211As are in service, the daily R68/A (A) trip will discontinue. Expected to occur around March 2024.

I really hope 207th keeps these trains clean. I'm tired of having the dirtiest trains in the MTA. The difference in cleanliness between the R179s the run on the J and Z and the ones that run on the A and C is insane.

Actually it’s Pitkin Yard that maintain these cars. That yard doesn’t have a wash and some of the 211s are already dirty. 207th manages the 8-car trains that run on the C line.

The R68 R62AS will stay put on the B D Q W N lines until the Brand New R268/As comes to replace them pretty soon.
