      /
      He didn't nail it at all. He was good although concidering how other foreigners sound when they try to speak swedish, but it's not like you raise your eyebrows exactly.
      To want to please somebody with a compliment is always good and is always better than to be mean, but I mostly think about those who want to learn our language when I read such a comment falsified of truth.
      You dont just spread false lies about our beloved language which may sabotage others progress in their learning, but also false lies to the one you adress.

    • @atlas6124
      @atlas6124 2 года назад +11

      @@Evaisthebest yep! in the south, it's the blowing noise, and in northern sweden it's usually more of a "shhh" sound.

    The Swedish sju (seven) can also be pronounced /ʃʉː/ for easier pronunciation (typical in Finland's Swedish) or /ʜʉː/ if you want some extra challenge (as oppose to the /ɧʉː/ you said, which is also correct!)

    Hey Dido, super video. Just a little thing: in France, we don't roll the "R", so you're not obliged to roll them (because you said that usually, we roll the R, but don't worry if you can't do it well (whispering or not), because native speakers don't roll them. But that made a pretty cool accent ;) )

    • @DidoASMR
      @DidoASMR  2 года назад +8

      Ah I think I mixed up by words. I didn’t necessarily mean “roll” it’s the sort of rumbling sound when pronouncing the r in “trois” I mean. When whispering it’s hard to do it but I didn’t want to go “twa” instead and look like silly!

With eight you have to try to say fast a, almost like some would say ah if they get scared, not an o. It’s a hard letter to pronounce if it isn’t your first language so I get that you went more for an o. Very entertaining video, keep up the good work! Very good video. I know three of the languages in some capacity in this video (not including english). Small thing about the Japanese tho, you were pronouncing 4 as shi and 7 as shichi. While this isn't wrong shi and shichi are used (at least in my experience) in things like time on a clock or months of the year similar to how normally 9 is kyuu but when you say November you say KUgatsu. When just counting I'd say 4 is yon and 7 is nana but I don't think what you said is wrong.

    Swedish was good apart from the rolling r we use in Norwegian and swedish, but it's not a sound that English so often uses apart from som dialects i think so it's quite difficult

    For Japanese, 7 could be said as shichi but it’s almost pronounced like “shchi”, forget the first i. Or, if you want, it’s easier to say 7 as nana as well

    For 7 in Japanese its pronounced more like She-chi you could also use nana to simplify things.
