I remember that morning, meeting you for the first time while you were taking the video of the Royal Princess arriving. If you recall I'm the guy whose last name is the same as that of the chef on your ship. My wife and I sailed on the Noordam the next day on our first cruise ever. Thanks to all your VLOG tips, it worked out quite well. It was a pleasure meeting such a fine gentleman!

Living in Seattle and having recently completed an Alaska Cruise I can say it is hundreds USD cheaper to leave from Vancouver than Seattle. Vancouver is a very expensive city to visit but it is a very cosmopolitan city. 30% of the citizens are Chinese.

This is a great video! Thanks for showing the port of Vancouver through your eyes, even though this is my home port I'll look at it differently now and not take it so much for granted. Watching this two years on makes me nostalgic for our last Alaskan cruise in August 2019. I am so grateful we did it since there has been no cruise season out of Vancouver since. Thanks again!

Wow! Fantastic hotel/views/port. Shame about the misty weather but at least it fined up a bit for sailaway. This video is perfectly timed for us - we booked our May 2020 trip to Canada, with a cruise out of Vancouver to Alaska this week! I'm very impressed with Canada Place and the ability to see the ships from the concourse around the convention centre. That's great. I'm sorry you lost your footage from the prior day but I really enjoyed this video. Thanks so much Don.

We took the Alaska cruise on Star Princess out of Vancouver last August. We stayed at the Fairmont Waterfront hotel. We had to cross the street to get to our ship at Canada Place. I didn't think it was possible to get any closer to the ship's dock, but you got us beat. Nice video. Cold rainy days kind of put a damper on the fun, but it was still worth every bit of it. Got to see a part of the US that I didn't really know existed. I knew Alaska had some nice scenery, but was taken aback by how beautiful it really was. We were very fortunate in the entire trip went without a hiccup, including air travel. Your video brings back good memories. Thanks for posting.

Carol and I just got back from 2 weeks of Vancouver, Alaska Cruise and Denali train ride. It was the trip of a life time Don. We watched your videos for a couple of weeks beforehand and we appreciate your fun and informative segments. Since you’re in Vancouver today our best things to do in Vancouver were bicycling in Stanley Park, Gastown, and Granville Island. Funny story. While we were in Vancouver, the Raptors were playing Golden State in Toronto the night that the Raptors were beaten by one point. We heard a huge outcry from the whole city at the end of that game. Of course congratulations to Canada and the Raptors who went on to win the NBA title. Have fun in Alaska!
