Freddy no longer puts me to sleep when I play him....ironically...
Honestly, the only change i really want for new freddy is for survivors to not be able to tell which pallet is a dream pallet when they're away. That would reintroduce that pallet deception aspect that is a little lost in new freddy.
Otherwise, a really brilliant rework. I'm really glad that they kept the old freddy fans into consideration with the rework too!
I love that his abilities pull you into dreamworld now, makes his gameplay flow waaaaaaaay more enjoyable. Pre rework i found myself in plenty of situations where if even if a survivor wasnt clock immune they could easily have a min before they fall asleep and with some loops getting that initial m1 to force dream state can be a total pain all the while you cant pressure them at all with snares for that duration. All around I love these changes : )
The one thing I hate about the new Freddy is the new dream pallets. The old dream pallets were deceptive and more fun to use for me.
They should at least have an add on that makes them function like they used to
he is the first killer that got what i wanted. a Way to play a "buffed up" Version of themselves from the past. (even though they nerfed that add-on for some reason) The idea is still there. Allowing Freddy to play like The trap based Freddy BUT WITH The pallets. Tbh i think that is awesome and it gives him a edge in variety unlike any other killer in the entire game. Like i think they should explore this more. Like just for fun. Like some people might miss Old Billy (some did but hey give him a new add-on name old friend or old chainsaw and have it be a mix of his better add-ons people used from Pre-reworked Billy.) They can go crazy with this and it gives more people breath of fresh air. Even if you faced the same killer they are using the other version of them now the dynamic of the match changes and it can be cool (IMO) To me I would love if BHVR or the community talk about this because it seems no one really does. (regardless if its meta or strong having this new edge to a killer can help out in so many ways imo)
I wish there was an add on to make the dream pallets like they used to be.
great video, I agree that its nice that we're getting a killer that's a mix of micro and macro managing for once on top of their chase kits, that isn't just another dash killer. It does give me a tiny bit of hope that when the Skull Merchant reworks comes in a few years that they know why some people actually love her in the first place and build from there instead of just listening to the people who hate her and never really cared for her gameplay. **also Can you share your Filter setting with us? its a great filter, its not like stupidly bright, and the color balance is so nice.**

For the paint brush addon when survivors are asleep they see the red debuff on their screen of being affected by paint brush so majority of the time they just go to a alarm clock instantly. I think pill bottle is mandatory to run with paint brush to get value
I tried Freddy for the first time since the change and he’s so much fun now
I still lost but not as badly as I had been normally
My only complaint is that the snare change is kinda lame. It's yet another straight line midrange projectile. BUT if that's what's necessary to get the pallet mines, I don't care because those silly traps are fun! If the devs changed the snares back to traps and in exchange buffed the pallets even more (maybe more range, harder to detect, etc), I honestly think it'd be a PERFECT rework, but it's still very good as is. He's probably less powerful than everyone's saying he is, but the important thing is he's fun and stands out from the crowd. Weirdly enough, my favorite addon ISN'T the Paintbrush bringing back Old Old Freddy, but Paint Thinner. It gives some really cheeky hits and gives the pallets relevance even when you personally aren't near them.
One more thing, the aura on teleport change is a GODSEND. Knowing which way you'll pop out of a gen or what spot in the ground you'll pop out of suddenly makes the teleport relevant as a mindgame tool. I've mindgamed a few pallets using the TP and confidently striding out of the teleport to get a hit. In your second match at 20:38, if you had kept channelling it and approaching from the front, they'd have run right into your TP clone, which means a free hit done with PANACHE!!!

Can someone please tell behavior to give freddy a power wheel? i just hate how clunky it feels to switch the power and how the teleport uses the same button as the rupture

Idk, I didn't like the rework from the beginning but let's be honest, better this than another year of Freddy not existing in the game. Anyways, I didn't like it because i was just expecting something much different, the "everythign is fake" thing becasue that was the most unique in him, the fake pallets even if weak af but just how funny would it be to set up entire shack or main bulding so that there are fake windows, gens, breakable walls etc. but okay, most I can do is enjoy the rework we got... But I don't enjoy it. The Snares are still really boring ngl but more skillful, I like that, the dream pallets are just... Okay, I still think they are just most a time useless because you can easily see they are fake and when and the area of rupture, just dodge them, it's really not that hard, teleport is great, not much to say there besides that tp to healing is just so easy to counter, just wake up, if you get the surv fron the hook then they are awake and they can wake you up first so you can heal safely, it's mostly problem with solo queue and the rework being new but believe me, after people learn (maybe, people in DBD today prefer to just DC or give up than learn), you will rarely see it. Playing new Freddy feels for me like every hit and kilk i get is only because people don't yet know how to counter him and that feeling to me sucks very much.
Really, I'm just happy that other people can enjoy him. I hope that the new chapters and reworks will scratch my head like I'm a good kitty enough for me to enjoy them... That was weird, shut up bwaha
Also, I really hope Skull Merchant rework is gonna be just as good as Freddy's rework cause overall it's good, just not for me

As for the fake gens and stuff like that. I've talked in the past and deception things in games are super hard to balance correctly and the dream pallets are a good example of that. While I agree they are too obvious they also can't be so hidden and unable to be seen without it feeling unfair
And I purposely didn't really talk about strength at all here I had a couple matches I was unable to get more than 3 hooks so yes once people figure it out it might be a bit weak BUT my point is even in those matches I was having fun.
@@thefakebanette3483 ye, I know, I said that overall the rework is good just not for me. The deception thing, ye it probably would be hard to balance... But is this game balanced? Bwaha I mean the old fake pallets were good, you couldn't see them in real world, only in dream and they were very very weak but it was funny to get someone with them, I am feeling first strength second type of guy, he can be even bottom 3... Okay bottom 6, we shouldn't get too crazy but as long as he feels good to play, strength shouldn't matter and overall, he is quite satisfying like with hitting the snares, pallet rupture in general, teleport now that they added anti-dumbass feature to not get confused, I would like of the snares had some indication that the hit on awake survivor did something cause it just feels like it didn't do anything while it actually added 30 seconds to the sleep meter which probably to the average new player would tell "oh hitting my power while they awake doesn't matter at all" and like I said, the feeling that you didn't out-smart your enemy, they just didn't know your power at all. Idk I might be special, I didn't ask my doctor.
And like I said, I am happy that other people enjoy it
@@heronik79fair also the snares do have an indicator they hit an awake surrvior it's a subtle sound cue they added it in the updated and I'm more so clarifying here. And yeah the games not perfectly balanced but I'd rather not add another headache with a full deception killer although I understand the desire
