I am a stage 4 prostate cancer survivor. When I say “Survivor” I shutter, even though it’s been almost 8 years. I had DaVinci robotic as my cancer was in the perinaural nerve canal. I had lymph nodes removed, vas defferens, seminal vesicles, and I had placenta wrapped around my nerves in order to promote regeneration.
I was raising my then 9 year old son alone and frightened to death, I still am. I had many surgeries after the initial one, for lymph node removal, seroma removal and also a hernia that was caused by inflating my abdomen for surgery. I have been living a nightmare since the moment of diagnosis. I am alive, and I am grateful to those that saved me, but I am a shell of the man I once was. Incontenence thatbthey don’t tell you about, loss of sex life and even drive. The disease is horrendous. “Survivor” is a double edge sword.

City of Hope is adding Ivermectin to TNBC treatment, Glasgow University is adding Mebendazole to Docetaxel for PC.
