    Baked this cake yesterday for a birthday. Highly recommend using this recipe! I like a dense cake so I prefer using plain flour rather than cake flour. The cake was still soft and moist the next day and very delicious!! Best recipe!!

    I made this last night! I cut 1/4 cup sugar from the batter and 1/4 cup sugar from the frosting. Better to measure flour in grams. 1 3/4 cup is 210 grams. I watched it bake and it was done in less than 30 mins. It’s sooo good! I feel like a pro! Thank you!!!

    Hi I want to share that I baked this cake today and OMG it was a major hit. Everyone in the fam loves it and they can't seem to stop talking about how good it is. I used cake flour because I want the cake to be more spongy. I didn't have purple food color so I just put more Ube Flavor instead which has a purple color already. I also used Good Shepherd Ube Halaya so the taste of the Ube is sooo good. For the frosting, I used Emborg Cream Cheese and Everwhip Whipping cream. The frosting tastes sooo good. Thank you soo much. I love your recipes. Pls upload more cake recipes ❤

    what size of cake pan did you use? i used 2 9-inch pans pero hindi sya kasing laki ng nasa video, nagdeflate sya ng konti when i took it out of the oven...but i must say, it’s very delicious! my first time baking a cake and it’s very yummy!!!

    Hi! I will be making this recipe tomorrow, but I do have some questions about it.
    1. Did you turn the cake upside down right after you baked it?
    2. Is it okay to put wet baking strips around the pan prior to baking?

    Hey! thanks for sharing! before trying the recipe out, i have a few questions:
    a). It is stated on the recipe on the description box that grated 1/2c ube or 1/2c ube halaya is used. When you say grated, do i need to cook the ube first or is it grated fresh after peeling the skin off?
    b) If i do use a commercial ube halaya, do you have any suggestions of a good ube halaya brand in the grocery? am kinda worried cause some, if not all, commercial bottled halayas are kinda not good, hehehe!
    c). What are the size of pans you used...i am guessing those are 2, 8x2's but i am not very sure.
    d). Usually when sponge cakes are made, cake flour is used. Which is better to use? APF or CF? and if i do use cake flour, what are the recommended measurement?
    e) do i put grease BETWEEN my parchment paper and the bottom of the pan or just simply lay the paper on the pan?

      Hi James, you can use grated fresh ube and bake it right away or ube halaya. I use either of them whichever is available since i live abroad. :) Any brand will do. Yes, I used an 8 inch pan but don't grease it just use a parchment paper. And lastly, use 2 and 1/4 cup of cake flour. Hope that helps :)

      Hey! i have a follow up question by the way. You said that you made this on 2, 8 inch pans right? may i know how high the pans were? i am afraid it might spill over if i make it on mine cause i think mine only measures 1bout 1.5 to 2 inches in height. Do you thank that would suffice? Thanks!

      Hi Grace, i assume you are pertaining to the whipped eggwhites folded with ube batter. Im using frssh eggwhites and its okay because we will still bake it afterwards. Hope that helps :)Happy baking! :)

      As i know, if u use diary whipping cream, u need to be carefull because it easy to be overbeat. Once it overbeat, it will split and become watery
