  • This is my new PBX I just bought.
    It supports 3 CO Lines, and 8 extensions.
    I bought it from eBay for about $85-$90 AUD, plus shipping. The system is very easy to use and supports most features that other systems do, such as MoH (Music on Hold), Auto-Attendant, and you can change all the extension numbers around too!

    I actually found out you can plug paging into this pbx. You will need an auto answering device like the bogen uti1 or the bogen tampb

      I'm sorry, I don't own this unit but you can pick these units up for about $160 in the united states thats where I live
      Here's the link to bogen's website for this device : www.bogen-paging.com/catalog-product-uti1.aspx

      @@romal259 ruclips.net/video/TzXFlYL6khw/видео.html This is the link to a video showing the bogen tampb. The wiring and configuration is simple the jack that says station/trunk is where you connect the phone system to and then you make sure if you use an extension jack on the system you have to select station on the first dip switch. If you want to use a line jack, you flip the switch to trunk. The only other connection required is audio output to an amplifier and power for the tampb. You can get these units very cheap online. Just make sure you get one with a power supply they have ones without power supplys as well. To connect your phone system to the bogen, you cut one end of the cable off and connect the green wire to the tip connection, the connection labled with a T and the red wire which is ring to the R connection. The audio connection is done by connecting the pt pr connections to an amplifier which you can convert that connection into an rca jack to connect to even a stereo if you wanted to, but connect it to a pa amp if you can. The pt pr is the same as the telephone connection its just audio instead.

    Hi Ryan, Do you know if this unit would allow the following: Caller rings> PBX auto answers> Asks user to either enter EXT number of person they want to reach or hold for operator> Nothing entered within x seconds or invalid entry> calls extensions while playing hold music to the caller.
    Thank you

      +Ben Griffin I believe the manual says this is possible, but I never quite figured out how to do this. The system manual says it is possible to record 12 seconds of announcement on the 208 and 308 systems, and you should be able to enter an extension number I think.

    I have a second line hooked up but it always opens up every second time I press 9. I only want line 1 to open up when I press 9 and dial #12 to open the line only. How do I make this possible?

    • @romal259
      @romal259  8 лет назад

      System should take the first available and enabled line by pressing 9. If line 1 is in use, pressing 9 will open Line 2 for you.
      Pressing 9 is just requesting the first line in order of Line 1, Line 2, Line 3.

    Hi Ryan. Thanks for your video. Quick question would i be able to hook up a Alcatel 4028 on this system ? Would there be limits to its using? Also have you ever tried the system with wireless phone like Gigaset phone etc... Thanks :)

      +nl969 Sorry I took so long to get back to you here. An Alcatel 4028 keyset, or any other kind of phone that needs a PBX system to run, such as OfficeServ handsets, or the Aria 7000 and 8000 series handsets, Cisco IP phones, won't work on this system. Any traditional phone, such as a corded phone like the ones shown in the video, or ones that you would normally use in your home will work, including cordless phones. It may even be possible to use old rotary dial phones.

      Go to 4:42 in the video and it will show you how to get to programming mode.
      I dialled # * 0000 and then there will be 1 long beep from the system indicating you are in programming mode

      I don't know what one of them is - as it never had a model or anything printed on it
      The larger white phone is a Telstra TouchFone 200 and the grey one is an Oricom phone that I bought from Big W a week prior to making this video

    Would it work with 56K dialup modems for computers? (i.e 601 calls 602)

    • @romal259
      @romal259  6 лет назад

      Hmmm - hard to say. It should be possible, as it is just acting as the switchboard. I have never attempted it, but I imagine it should be possible, as long as the 56k modem will tolerate the dial tone sound that the PBX makes. Also, there is about a 5 second timeout to dial from memory, so you would have to have the modem dial pretty much straight away. Let me know how you go!
      Out of interest, what are you planning to do with 2 computers on 56k modems ?

      My Windows XP laptop can act as a Remote Access server, but it only responds when the Ring voltage is present. A pain to hardwire safely, the PABX will generate the Ring signal I need without injecting high voltage. Also I can expand to 3 or more with deticated extensions. My iMac also supports Networking over Dialup.
