Yes, this additional equipment is needed, if you would like functionality beyond Skype's voice and video chat (such as voice mail, call forwarding, dial plans, etc.). It is a solution designed for business use.
Hello skpsoftech: it depends on the type of telephony interfaces you require and the number of simultaneous calls you need to support. We recommend using the telephony system configuration wizard on our Web site (click the main banner on our Web site home page).
Currently, the following SIP desktop video phones have successfully passed our interoperability tests: Grandstream (GXV3175) Yealink (VP530) snom (snom300-SIP) Fanvil (D800 + SE780) LG Ericsson IPECS (LIP8050) We continually update the list on our Web site.
Hi Matthew, Not all the phones have to be of the same brand, but they should all be either SIP or analog (we can also support H323 and other devices as custom devices). For auto-provisioning we support about 10 brands as of today. Note that this video is from 2011 and demonstrates a much older version of the system. For more information about our auto-provisioning see: ruclips.net/video/ZXz-McS766o/видео.html
Is it possible to setup a very simple IVR (almost an Auto Attendat) for one single landline? (caller interaction via keypad, pre-recorded messages, calls must be recorded, static menu, no call routing, ...)?
We suggest using the Xorcom Astribank to connect both analog PSTN and digital PRI/BRI lines. If you need more information I can put you in touch with a local Xorcom partner.
So the system determines what FXS port gets what number, what if, say, the units are completely de-powered, the usb cables are out, or the device gets replaced, will, say. if it assigns ext65 to port 12 on device 3, it always assign the same ext no (65) to any device 3 port 12, or, will we have a problem and have to trace that line to its phone and change the number , we want to make sure that if room 16 on floor 5 gets 65, that it will always get 65, just like the existing ageing panasonic thing we have
We have implemented what we call "Plug & Play for DAHDI" for this type of situation. Read about it here: www.xorcom.com/plug-and-play-solution-for-dahdi-from-xorcom
Hugo Trujillo If you are referring to the Xorcom Rapid Live the answer is no -- The Xorcom Rapid Live is for tests and demonstrations and should not be used as an operational PBX. All configuration changes made on the system will be saved only in the RAM and will be erased upon reboot. For more info, visit www.xorcom.com/rapid-live-quick-start
+chin jun hao By default, Xorcom systems come pre-configured with extensions for all the FXS ports, starting with 1001. However, you can override this by deleting the pre-configured extension (noting the DAHDI channel used) and re-configuring it with a number of your own choosing. What is the difference between the XE3056 and the XR008?
Hello, what Video phones do you recommend for the Xorcom?
you have a dealer here in philippines?
Will this work if i plug the analog phones to my regular router or do they have to be plugged in to the Asterisk bank?
They have to be plugged to an Astribank. A router port will not work, it has to be an FXS port.
@@XorcomSolutions ok thank you
Can my phones have an outgoing line as well?
Do all of the phones need to be the same brand? For example, will it work if I have an AT&T phone and a Panasonic phone?
