I love how music can bring people together. Kansas is not the same group without Steve Walsh and Robbie. The classic lineup was the best but the revised lineup is still great. Carry On!
I have to say it's so nice seeing Steve Morse's sheer look of delight watching Joe and Zak do their solos in Down the Road. He's at the pinnacle of guitar players, and yet he really appreciates good musicians and finds things to appreciate and learn from with nearly anyone he plays with. Everyone who has worked with him says that.
I'm an Italian fan of Kansas. The most underrated rock band in history! They made "CLASSICAL ROCK" in literally sense, a mix of rock and sinfonic music. One track for example: "The Pinnacle", really unbelievable
This to me is the greatest band ever, I went in I think it was 96 or 97 in St. Louis and they put on the greatest concert ever. They're one of very few bands I would buy a live CD of, and I'm not a fan of live CD's, that's how great Kansas is.
Thanks! I use a little mini tripod that I put my phone on instead of trying to hold it with my hand. Helps keep it steadier and avoids fatigue. Then try and rest the tripod on my leg. Fortunately had a nice spot where I can keep my phone at chest level and not obscure anyone’s sight sitting behind me. I need to upgrade my phone soon though.
Fact: Phil CREATED Kansas. I know he has had recent health issues but... if he says it's Kansas... it's Kansas. (Billy Greer has been there for 39 years!!) Everyone else in the lineup became what they are directly BECAUSE of Kansas. We spent our musical lives learning at the feet of Livgren. No posers on that stage. Everyone on that stage learned, lived and prayed for the chance to continue the legacy.
This is awesome getting used to seeing bands with only one original member who cares if they can play the songs and keep the spirit of the band alive! Saw the eagles in October 2023 and going to see Uriah heep in may in Cleveland Ohio unfortunately they are not playing in my city so I really appreciate this upload 😊
And just noticed no rich Williams I'm 60 and getting old sucks oh well saw the original 6 in 1980 audio visions tour and with a orchestra in 1999 so I am blessed to have seen them!!¡
Though not one original member is on this stage in the first half, the music is SPOT ON. This music transcends the hands that originally played it. Kansas has effectively insured it's legacy by investing into players that can effectively carry it into the future. Go ahead, call it a tribute band, I don't care. This impeccable echo of what has endured for 50 years is all I need. Well done. Carry on, Wayward Sons.
