So if you want to transplant an old key to a new shell you will have to pry it open? Is it glued? Taking apart the two main halves seemed to take some force :( Do you glue the parts back together? What is the best way? What glue?
Thanks for the great video! Sadly I was not able to separate the two main halves (Video at 1:05). It seams as if they are glued together and I would have a high risk of breaking it if I would use more force. Is there a trick how to separate them?
That is good that you did not separate them. I am trying to open mine. But from video (from time 1:15) it can be clearly seen that those two halfs are ultrasonic welded. So if you try to open them you break that weld and will be very problematic to joint them together. You will probably have to use some glue. I would say, that this procedure is very dangerous. They are welded to secure dust and water proof conection.
I opened the key with force, yes it is glued together, I suppose for a little of waterproof. The problem is when putting it together... it won’t be possible to close, it stays open. Please be carefull when doing this “repair”, it isn’t possible.
Thanks for this!

Hi Flip Keys, ever repaired one of those keys having Battery drain issue? Any idea what to look for? it goes from 3.2v to 2.8v in just about 12h...
