Module 13 - Asking Questions: Research Study Design

The goal of this session is to learn how to design quantitative or qualitative studies to ask and answer research questions. Medical research typically aims to discover the relationship between one or more events or characteristics (e.g., being exposed to a toxic substance, having a family history of a certain disease, or taking a certain drug) and others (e.g., contracting or overcoming an illness). An emphasis will be placed on how to construct or recognize a well-designed study.
