I index them and my notes into a Books database. I also often let ChatGPT do a summary too that I add in with my notes. This enriches my use of Notion AI, which I use as I am creating content and writing books myself. Ready indexed references and stories.
I use the front cover and blank pages in the book for my indexing of pages and notes. This is often alongside of dogearring pages. This makes it easy when I pick a book back up, often to recommend it to someone, to be able to flip through and give someone the highlights or key points to why I am recommending.
