"48 ways he said he's feeling helpless": can anyone explain this? I understand his brother commited suicide but what is the significance of the number 48?
Radioactivekitteh I think it’s just keeping the rhyme scheme intact. When sung with the vowels extended, “forty-eight ways” sounds similar to “falling down” and offers similar timing to emphasize certain letters in those parallel verses.
That aside, this song was written, and I believe recorded, before his brother committed suicide. Shaun has stated over and over that it wasn’t written about his brother’s suicide, but it took on that meaning because his brother died shortly after wrapping up this song. He had hoped to perform it for Eugene but he died just days beforehand. And in the album version, the lyric isn’t “48 ways he said he’s feeling helpless” (or close to that); instead Shaun uses the first-person “I’m,” making it a first-person perspective rather than that of a spectator.
jeff adamson he looks totally out of it. I’m guessing this is from a time he was a heavy drinker. If you want a good live version, thank me later: ruclips.net/video/raLEJKfwYwU/видео.html

shaun its a big fanatic of "Korn"
@bigcheese8646 Most riffs are gonna sound similar anyway
peruvian people in the 0:14 haha
I'd ask for my money back!!!
Don't like it played dropped down. Shaun's voice clearly is taking strain.
Wow. I'll stick with the studio version. Sad vocals. The Guitar Center Live is much better.
I hate all those drum fills... there are just some songs to relax on and play, sounds so shitty with the fills, especially the high hat fast fills.
karramba ale fałszują
going out of tune
Wow....this version sucks
