Got two 0.95 lenses for my lovely GX80. Both are doing an excellent job and I really Love the look. But you have to learn how to work with them. And cause of such a small sharp area at 0.95 with no autofocus and small camera/phone display a high contrast focus peaking is a must. Or you have to learn the analog street photography style with fix the aperture for a fix distance.
Voigtlander is always good to have, but this one is quite bulky. I have some for Leica M mount, way smaller. For my Alice, once its here, I might go with something smaller too :)
thanks for the video with this legend of a lens! except some small warps in a few shots the stabilization for a non IS looks pretty good and most important thing the colors look amazing! hopefully it's only minor color grading and the Alice Camera has already loveley colors inside =)
I've been planning on pairing the Alice with the whole line of Voigtlander f/0.95 lenses to see how I like it. The 17.5 f/0.95 is a 32mm f/1.7 equivalent when comparing to a "full frame" sensor.
Thanks for the comment! They produce a bunch of beautiful lenses for sure. Ah we got the info from the official website, which says it's a 35mm equivalent - www.voigtlaender.de/lenses/mft/175-mm-10-95-nokton-asphaerisch/?lang=en
@@thealicecamera Yeah, for some reason companies just use the diagonal for equivalents, which depending on the sensors being compared is either spot on or wrong/misleading. Comparing a Micro 4/3 sensor to full frame, you HAVE to match the aspect ratios, otherwise it's not actually equivalent. So you have to compare a Micro 4/3 sensor to a 24mm x 32mm sensor to get the actual equivalent. So the math will line up AND what you actually see will match...super easy to test yourself to confirm :)
As a more affordable alternative, I can recommend the Zhongyi Mitakon 17mm f/0.95, which performs great on my GM5 and other small MFT cameras.

Whats the best macro lens to use with this camera? I would like this camera for shooting jewelry and closeups of jewelry making process
🔥🔥🔥
”WISH” Have a Image stabilization (IS) in the body, now we talking! Let me know if it ever happens!
So, 34mm f/1.9 on a ff. Still want to see more from this camera and less talking heads.
