Yall should def do a guide for ATEEZ. Their leader who is Hongjoong is called the "captain" because their whole concept is that they are pirates. Hongjoong is the captain of the ship. If you look back at the killing verse, they (13:39) say "lets go captain" before Hongjoong starts the verse.

The guy with the amazing voice is the main vocalist and youngest, Jongho. The leader, our captain, is Hongjoong which is the one in the middle with the glasses and cuffed pants. Mingi is the one with deep raspy voice, he was sick during this which is why his voice is raspier than normal.

Seeing that smile on your faces at 8:41 when Jongho lets his glorious voice just ring out… I love killing voice for making that exact expression of joy appear from hearing Jongho’s incredible singing on so many reactor’s faces watching this video. I hope Jongho gets to see how his incredible gift of a voice effects people everywhere across the world~
To answer your questions, yes they have a leader - in fact they call him “Captain” because just like their debut title track “Pirate King”‘implies, they are both huge ONE PIECE fans (they put Luffy’s 2nd Gear pose in their official choreography for Pirate King!) and they themselves are pirates in their long form storyline. The Captain/leader is actually the small but explosive rapper in the middle with the glasses and striped shirt - Hongjoong! He looks mild-mannered here but you should see him (actually, all of them!) perform a live stage like their Coachella performances (look up Guerrilla and ARRIBA especially~) - you’ll see why they’re called demons who rip up the stage! XD

The last song 'The Real' is a song that they produced for the final episode in a survival show that they participated in called Kingdom: Legendary War.
It's a competition between a few boy groups (ateez, skz, btob, the boyz, ikon and sf9) and they got the 3rd place.

when you want to know who is the leader, just look who talks first, like who says the intro, the start of the name. It's always the leader. And when they say it all together, the leader says "1, 2, 3!" If you catch that, you have the leader :)
for exemple : in Seventeen S.Coups says "Say the name" and the others say "Seventeen...."
Hilarious that you guys picked everyone but the true leader. Hongjoong had glasses on and was the higher-pitched rapper. Mingi is the bleached-blonde rapper with the raspy voice (raspier than usual because he was extremely ill filming this Killing Voice). The dude with the amazing voice is Jongho and he is the youngest. The good-looking (black leather jacket) kiddo is Wooyoung and he is the unholy terror of the group. He teases other members mercilessly, then suddenly bites them, and then becomes extremely affectionate and hugs and kisses them. The members all adore him.
The leader is Hongjoong, the rapper in the middle. Just saw the group live on the 8th, and I'm still in shock. How INCREDIBLE they are live. It's otherworldly honestly. Sorry, but for me best kpop group in history.

This boys group came from small companies. They are so so talented, very good in singing rappers dancing with many creative idea’s,They are also producer of song with powerful personalities performances. Before I really delved into their music and became a fan, I could recognize they had something special.
While k-pop idols are very talented ATEEZ certainly has the “it factor” and that applies to them both individually and as a group. You can sense it in their music and in their performance. They are doing something that only they can do. On top of that, when you factor in their raw talent, incredible drive and manners it only furthers their success.

He has done a few k-drama OSTs (A Day, Gravity, Wind, and A Fairy Tale of Youth), and he also has a solo on their album from last December called Everything if you want to check them out (Everything has an MV on the KQ RUclips page). Other members have also released cover songs on the Ateez RUclips page and Mingi and Hongjoong each have self-written songs on there as well

I was thrilled to death that they finally got a killing voice. And I loved your reactions . The guy all the way to the left is my Bias Jongho, the guy with the bad boy vibes as you called it is my daughter’s bias Wooyoung. We’re finally getting to see them in concert in D.C. in August. And you can tell it’s hard for them to stay still, they’re such performance monsters ❤❤❤ Also for some solo content on them, Jongho has his own unit song from the last comeback titled “everything” and he also did a cover of “wildflower” that’s beyond amazing. Mingi has a solo project and his single “tunnel” is no lie one of my all time favorite songs. All of them have solo content covers if you look on the Ateez channel. Also if you like ballads “Be With You” I’d my all time favorite. They can do no wrong as far as I’m concerned ❤😂

The Real often played at the end of their concertor any live shows because the song is exciting and the members who do the dance break always changes. They played the song at the end of their Coachella performance too.
