She is a Japanese who has gained worldwide support for her overwhelming drumming skills. Her cover video of DragonForce's "Through The Fire And Flames" is what really made her famous. It caused a big stir around the world and has been viewed over 5.8 million times to date. This video shows her overwhelming technique, which shows off her skills to the fullest. The DragonForce drummer himself has also praised her highly. She is the best drummer.

Junna is now 28 years old ( when she did this cover around 26) and an absolute professional drummer. She used to be in a band (girls rock band kakumei, now Trident), quitted that band around 2021 and worked as a session drummer and performed in solo-gigs as you can see in this cover too. She toured with Marty Friedman (former Megadeth guitarist) and was member in several other projects. Internationally as a guest drummer for Fate Gear (2023 in Europe, 2024 in Canada). But most important: She now is a regular member of HAGANE which started anew in this spring (if you don't know HAGANE, it's worthwhile to check them out - but especially the "new" HAGANE with the new members Junna and the singer Nagi!). I love watchin Junna. Obviously she's technically solid, but I love how animated she is, and she's not just animated for the sake of it, it seems to be part of who she is as a drummer which is fkng awesome!
I just met her IN PERSON a few days ago as she sat in for the regular drummer of FATE GEAR on their Canadian tour. I drove in from Detroit and it was worth every mile!
There's one thing I never thought I'd get to do :) . She is tiny ... and quiet. I did my best to speak to her ... and asked her to return to the USA or Canada with HAGANE, her new band. I got smiles and giggles :) . But ...
... as you may suspect the moment she hits the stage all of that changes. I have said for years ... if all you can see is pigtails and drumsticks, it must be JUNNA. She really is wonderful!

I have met Junna too , she is so humble and quite, but like you said once she's behind those drums all hell lets loose.
Just the intro is more than enough to judge how good she is. And the energy she shows in every video is amazing. She doesn't look tired, doesn't miss a beat and doesn't slow down even for a second to catch her breath. I wonder how many Duracell batteries she uses during her live performances.

I saw her live 10 days ago when she was the guest drummer for Fate Gear on their Canadian tour and she was awesome but so tiny. Many of us in the meet and greet told her we love Hagane her new band and I hope they tour over here in 2025.

I've seen videos of this young lady before over the years, and as a former drummer (admitedly not remotely as good as she is) I cannot imagine keep the energy level she shows the entire song. The head shakes, the smiles, the exaggerated arm movements. ... I would be spent halfway thru the song if I did that. So much fun to watch.

She looks young, but she's really in her 20s in these videos, I heard she was 23 in the Through the Fire and Flames video.

She is currently a member of the all girl band "Hagane", also was a drummer for the band "Trident". this was another all girl band. She has a ton of cover song videos, too.
Besides the drumming, I’ve always enjoyed watching her sing along with the song… kind of.
Now that she’s in HAGANE she sits behind the lead singer upstaging with abandon! I’m so happy to see her on stage.

This is exactly why I bought my son a nice little Pearl set when he was about 6. I was counting on him for my retirement. He didn't really take to them too well and since we were divorced, I wasn't at the house every day assisting him. Well, his mother sold the set and not only did one of my dreams get crushed, she didn't even split the money with me - let alone give it all to me.
That sucks but maybe the drums just wasn’t his instrument! Sometimes it takes a few to find what you enjoy! 😎
@@setonhillstudios Hey, he's doing pretty good considering being a rock star wasn't in his future.🤣🤣 23 and he's already making 6 fig in the trades. I had him working with me during the Summers starting when he was 15. That one stuck so obviously I'm happy he's a hard worker and making good money in the union. I couldn't be more proud about the way he turned out.

How has the Mrs not killed you yet? 🤣🤣 Btw, please keep in mind that we live in the second most expensive state in the union, NY. 100 grand is a ton of money in most places, but unfortunately in this place, it's just enough to get by semi-comfortably.
