- Welcome back to day 8 of our adventure! We kicked off early this morning ready to tackle more of the trail. So, grab your coffee, settle in, and join us as we dive into today’s stretch of this unforgettable journey. After waking up in Montana. We will visit the Gildersleeve Mine, located in the Lolo National Forest, explore the insanely beautiful Missoula Lake, drive Red Ives creek past the ranger station. Find ourselves getting blown away by the St.Joe river and make our way to the small town of Avery in Idaho. Our final destination today would be the town of Wallace but on the way there I would start to hear what sounded like a wheel bearing going out. Stay tuned to find out what happens.

The pizza in Avery is a must have. The first bridge you went over is not Moon Pass as you mentioned, and you need to sound your horn before entering and while driving in the tunnel.

@@jonnytacooutdoors bummer. If you are in that area again checkout Middle Sister Lookout to the south and east of Avery. The last two years Mac Tippins was manning the fire lookout tower there. A very interesting man. He gave me a tour of the tower.
