I always used vipers but switched over to yuccas a couple years ago and I really like them. I have both standard flex and ultra soft. The ultra softs work really well even in surprisingly large surf. I think that the rhythm you can get into with the ultra softs is really nice but they do lack some power when its cranking. I never liked DaFins because they are only stiff in one direction, so you cant breast stroke kick them!
I have several pairs of Yucca and they are comfortable and have a great drainage system. My dafins do have a bit more power but poor drainage system for sandy shore breaks. I ended up drilling some more holes and cutting a chunky whole to improve the drainage and now they work just fine.
Thanks i surf.but bringing my bodyboard with me more and more.just got some barrels last week on it after a surfboard session.just subscribed thanks for the fin reveiw
@@bodysurfcollective Yes, I was using Kpaloa. But at the beginning of this year I tried a DaFin pro model Mark Cunningham and I loved the comfort! The DaFin seemed to have power and comfort in a balanced way, something I hadn't felt before. And now I will receive my pair of DaFin directly from Hawaii. I'm super stoked 🌊💙
Just bought 4 pairs of Yuccas for me and a friend. The quality comfort and performance are unparalleled.

Killer review. Yuccas are the way to go! And I got some Purps too love their different flex styles and color ways.
Thanks for the review, I've used Dafin also for 10 years but have been very curious about the yuccas. Thanks!
Yuccas are the best just bought 4 pair yesterday
Da Fin is so comfortable. Personally I like the release to get my feet out of the wave and do a belly spin for example. Just lock in with your hip.
I have used force fins for years. All other fins cramp my calf and the open toe gives me eoom to stretch the calf.

You’re welcome!
Nice review, Spencer! I've never tried Yucca fins, but this year I tried DaFin and loved it. Aloha
Yes! I almost always use DaFins, but it's nice to switch it up sometimes. What fins were you using before? Kpaloa?
