Very cool Bentley! My favorite is a Ronson Veriflame from the 1950's. It was the first butane and adjustable flame lighter, and its still working like new! Thanks for sharing!
I love those makes 1950s to mid 1960s. I have some watch bands from Kreisler, must get one if their lighters! That lighter I think was from the early 60s. Kreisler stopped all their jewelry making in the late 1970s and today are in aerospace parts and services. All their consumer stuff from the past is quite collectible on ebay.
I have a Kreisler 15403W see thru that also has the case and direction/warranty paper. It also has a fill adapter and a brush. I think it's pretty cool
I have a collection of table and pocket lighters. Most of them didn't work, when I got them; but repair has been fairly simple, and they all work now. You can find replacements for the brass valves (fuel delivery) on ebay. Good luck!
You should be able to make that Kreisler functional again. If it's just the outlet tube has been beaten shut, you can open it back up. Start with a sewing needle, wedge it into the opening. Move up to a pin. After that, if you still need to go larger, maybe an awl.
Just picked up a table lighter today from a local antique store and I hope I can get it working. It needs a new flint, for sure, but there's no markings at all on the lighter to indicate who the manufacturer was. I can't figure out if it's butane based or needs a wick either. The hole where the wick or butane would flow through appears to be blocked as well.
Nice Video! But I have the same problem like other commenters here, I have no idea how to refill the Bentley lighter... please need help, would be so thankful :D
Today I was at my grandma's and she gave me two lighters that were my grandpa's before he passed away. One was a Ronson and one was a Kreisler and she said that the Kreisler was about 50-60 years old. My Ronson still work but i'm not sure about the Kreisler.
ive got a bentley exactly like that and id love to know how to get it working! definitely needs refilling which i dont know how to do but i think it needs some flint too. sos
I have a Bentley as well with the disposable tank. The way I filled mine was by turning it on, blowing out the flame, and while still holding down the plunger refilling it from where the flame comes out
I recently picked up a brown and bidgelow table lighter and I can't for the life of me figure out how to fill it. It's butane I know that much but it's a small canister that actually sits in the lighter. No adapter will fit it and I can't find a single video on it only listings to sell it. It's a cool piece but I'd like more than a table weight for a lighter as It sparks and everything.
I need direction for repairing my Colibri by Kreisler made in West Germany lighter. Uses Flint and liquid lighter fluid fuel. On the top are those SCREWS or PINS?
How do you fill the colibri? and how do you replace the flint? Looked all over the internet for a hint but I'm feeling at a loss with my new vintage lighter :(
I enjoy it I have same one got it from grand pa also I have gold lighter from CD got it 1970 . do you know the initial price for those vintage lighter ?
mars seeker would you be able to help me out? i have a colibri m23 and i cant figure out how to fill it, without any attachments i get blowback and with attachments none fit
It shouldn't be that complicated , dissemble what can be dissembled and you should find the nozzle somewhere . I can;t see it. maybe if you send me pictures on facebook or somehow
+Mars Seeker hi! You seem super knowledgeable about lighters- can't seem to find the info, and I don't know anything about them. But I'm trying to refill a vintage lighter almost identical to the colibri in this video- not sure if I need just the liquid or butane from a can. I'm trying to refill from the can, but the butane just gets everywhere. Any advice would be awesome- thanks
RATaTATT you can always recognize if it needs butane or liquid gas by looking at the the top where the flame should be . if there is a nozzle with a very small needle sized hole then it needs butane , and if there is a bigger hole with a piece of string sticking out of it then it needs liquid. , if it needs butane you have to choose the right sized nozzle to fill it up so it doesn't go everywhere, the nozzles you need should be on the cap of your butane can, find the one that fits around the filling hole but make sure it's not too wide. fill upside down , press hold ,, release, press ,hold. .release . its ok if the gas starts to squirt around a little bit while pressing it down but if it's not stoping when you hold it then you have to choose a different nozzle from your can cap.
Kind of slow, aren't you? You have the instructions for the third one and you won't take the time to read them. If you did, you would see how it worked.
Funny how you equate this man's hobby to the assumption he's not being a grown up. Yet, you are here, just watching a video he created. Does this reflect on your level of maturity as well? 🤷🏼♀️You do realize how this comes across? 🤷🏼♀️
It's been awhile but it would be helpful if you showed how to restore the Colibri table lighter.
Been a while aswell but do you know how to fill it?

I checked out that Ronson Veriflame, definitely a very classy lighter. Hopefully I'll find one to add to my collection in the future.

how do u fill the bently
You can fairly easily convert it to make it refillable, otherwise you have to buy a new fuel tank every time it runs out
I have a Kreisler 15403W see thru that also has the case and direction/warranty paper. It also has a fill adapter and a brush. I think it's pretty cool
How do u change the flint on the 1st one colibri
I have a collection of table and pocket lighters. Most of them didn't work, when I got them; but repair has been fairly simple, and they all work now. You can find replacements for the brass valves (fuel delivery) on ebay. Good luck!
My favorite is the last one for some reason but nice collection

for the Kreisler, you could try snipping a tiny bit of the butane tube off to open it
Nice Video!
But I have the same problem like other commenters here, I have no idea how to refill the Bentley lighter...

I have the adjustable butane lighter as well. It’s in a vintage Electronic Corp Radio. What type of butane tip did you use? Thanks
Cool! There's adapters in the cap of Ronson butane fuel
Thanks , I' ve found it very helpful
I need direction for repairing my Colibri by Kreisler made in West Germany lighter. Uses Flint and liquid lighter fluid fuel. On the top are those SCREWS or PINS?
Same here
How refill cartridge with gass at lighter no 2 ? Please rewiev.
Hey I found a lighter from Koei called "unicon" looks exactly like your colibri. Do u know which came first? Mine's from '60's
I enjoy his lighter reviews
that colibri lighter is very cool of you could tell me were you found it i would like one
Just got a vintage bentley never used, thanks for how to add the Flint the other one had corroded but I have no idea how to add butane/fuel
do you?
what is the full name of the first lighter?
It came in a lot that I bought on ebay. Just search retro lighter lot.
how do you refill the bentley?
For the kreisler, you could just poke a new whole:/ maby:) give it a try and make a video about it, if it worked or not:)
a better question is why there are so many cars brands with lighter names.
Is it possible to refill these fuel tanks?
Can you refil the first one?
Between the Bentley and the Kreisler lighter, which one do you prefer?
thanks for sharing.
What's the style of the Bentley called? Its pretty cool
Please tell me how you refilled the bentley
Where does the flint go in the Colibri? I put one exactly where it belongs, but to have no spark. Do I need a certain type of flint?
The old flint is blocked. Hand drill.
it was one video in what way does the constitute the whoile channel becoming lighter reveiws?
I got a Bentley lighter that used to be my grandfather's and the Flint wheel doesn't turn anymore is there any way to fix that
there is always a way to fix it. just observe and see what has to be done . sometimes all you need is WD40 , sometimes more .
i have an old ibelo lighter from 1960 :D
Does the flint mechanism eventually wear down & make the lighter not spark any longer?
just clean it up and replace the flint . and check if there is enough tension between the wheel and the flint
If I send you a pick of a Colibri lighter I just bought...you help me figure how to fill??
thanks!
how does it look like maybe I can help you , is it a pocket or a table lighter ?
mars seeker would you be able to help me out? i have a colibri m23 and i cant figure out how to fill it, without any attachments i get blowback and with attachments none fit
I have just bought the exact same Bentley lighter in an auction.
I can't figure out how to refill the tank.
Please help me
did you found out ?
+Mars Seeker Hey ! No, I didn't, I gave up. Would you help me please?
It shouldn't be that complicated , dissemble what can be dissembled and you should find the nozzle somewhere . I can;t see it. maybe if you send me pictures on facebook or somehow
+Mars Seeker hi! You seem super knowledgeable about lighters- can't seem to find the info, and I don't know anything about them. I just got the same Bentley lighter, but I'm very confused on how to fill it. Would you mind explaining it to me please.
also the bentley is from the 60's
did you found out ?
nope sorry man
is it like this one from the video ? it shouldn't be that complicated . dissemble what can be dissembled and you should find the nozzle somewhere
+Mars Seeker the thing is they aren't refillable. It's was an early model that they sold leakproof capsules
Why are there so many cars with lighter brand names??
Any chance I could buy that first lighter off of you?
How did you refill the Bentley lighter? I have one exactly like it.
man .. did you found out ?
Would you sell that colibri ???
Is it possible to refill that Bentley lighter?
Hey can u do a wingstick from rage
Yes we can make lighters !!!! Juhu
Just a hobby. I'm working on gadgets too, don't worry.
How do you refill the Bentley table lighter that was on the left at the beginning of the video?
well just like any other lighter , from the bottom of the tank .
+Mars Seeker there's no place or nozzle to fill it on the bottom of the butane tank like "any other lighter"
then it's not refilable and you can make the nozzle on your own . is the tank plastic or metal ? it shouldn't be a problem to make one.
you thing that they lighters would work with non butane fuel
I have lots of the last litters not working
I wish I could tell you when they were made, my Father would have known check out his collection on my channel.
why is there some many lighters with car brand names?
Does anyone know how to refuel a Bentley lighter?
+AJ P You can apparently purge the tank, and then refill it with a standard butane canister through the nozzle
You mean the times when products were made by craftsmen
what is that first lighter's name ???
What's the name of the first lighter?
Do you have any zippo lighters?
In the same boat as these people: I got a Bentley from my late grandfather and I really want to refill it. Can anyone help?
