  • You've asked for an update, so here you go. Sorry it's been so long since the last video but moving to Spain and building a house has been keeping up really busy. The house is complete, but lots of landscaping left do do! And we've been entertained by the animals living nearby!

      We'd be happy to share a bit of what we have learned about the costs associated with building a house. After getting some notes and thoughts together, I'll get back to you. Keep in mind that prices can vary considerably depending upon where you'd like to build.

      @@onlyme436 I was asking myself that same question. Not sure but it'll be at the top of my list.

    Muy bonita la casa y el entorno con tantos animales salvajes y no peligrosos. Los conejos de orejas largas son liebres, 😂

    Incredible work! Very nice home. It's funny we are doing the same exact thing. My wife is from the Castilla la mancha area. We purchased our property several years ago and now getting ready to draw up the plans for the home. Cabanillas near Guadalajara. We are living in California,but moving to Spain at the end of summer. Hoping the total construction time can be accomplished within a year. How can I get in contact with you? I had a few questions. Thanks again! Nicholas..

    Can I ask what it cost for the cinderblock walls per ft or meter ?

    • @tmalloydesign
      @tmalloydesign  8 месяцев назад +1

      The construction is precast, steel reinforced concrete (not cinderblock). The final cost for the house including everything except lights was about 1,000 euros per square meter.

      @@tmalloydesigndo you mean a 1000 euros per m² as per ft² that would be quite pricey? And may I ask which company did you choose for the house it self? Thanks

    WOW! Not much has changed since the Google Maps vehicle rolled through your barrio back in 2012 July. Maybe half a dozen houses have gone up since those two houses down on Isla de Creta were built.
    The best part is that you are driveway to long term parking at MAD in about 35-45 minutes which beats my current situation in Burnaby, Canada to YVR by 10 to 25 minutes and I am guessing at 40 to 50% off the cost of land and building a house. Oh and the best part where you are now... THE FOOD!
