History fact:the knight hospitaler or more commonly known as the knights of malta didnt chance their base of opperations directly from jerusaleam to malta.after jerusaleam was taken by the muslims they moved to the small island of rhodes which was there home for about 200 years untill suleiman the magnificant came whit 100k strong army and after about a month of strong defence from the hospitaller knight and other christian defenders they signed a peace threty that they can leave if they surrender the city.They did and then they koved to malta and have stayed since then even after another ottoman attack on malta again by sultan suleiman the magnificteb which failed.
ive been to malta. I highly recommend going there. The locals are really nice. There are a lot of roaming cats. there is a castle and really cool cathederals. the city is cool and the bay is incredible.
