Spanning Tree protocol, ya STP, ek network protocol hai jo Ethernet switches ke beech loop prevention aur redundancy elimination ke liye istemal hota hai. STP network topology ko analyze karta hai aur loops ko identify karne ke baad unhe eliminate karta hai.
Jab ek Ethernet switch network mein connect hota hai, wo STP ka use karta hai taaki network topology ke loops ko avoid kar sake. STP har switch ke paas ek Root Bridge chunta hai, jo network ka central switch hota hai. Root Bridge se har switch tak ek shortest path hoti hai.
STP topology ko analyze karne ke liye Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDU) ka istemal hota hai. Har switch BPDU packets bhejta hai, jinme switch ke details aur network topology ki information hoti hai. BPDUs ke madhyam se switches apne neighbors ke baare mein jaan sakte hain aur unke saath communication kar sakte hain.
STP ek algorithm ka istemal karta hai jise Distributed Algorithm for Bridge (DAB) kehte hain. DAB ke madhyam se har switch apne neighbors ke baare mein jaankari collect karta hai aur network topology ko analyze karta hai. Agar kisi switch ko multiple paths milte hain, toh STP unhe block kar deta hai taaki loops na banen.
STP ke alawa, dusre variations bhi hain jaise Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) aur Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP). Ye protocols STP ki limitations ko overcome karne aur better performance provide karne ke liye develop kiye gaye hain.
Spanning Tree protocol network mein stability aur redundancy ko ensure karta hai. Iska istemal network downtime aur packet loss ko kam karta hai aur network performance ko improve karta hai.

sir is it always mandatory to consider root as a target switch for calculating cost ? . becoz if the we take 4 switch the same logic is not valid.. i m in confuse .. plz sir reply
Thank you
i have a little doubt on stp listening state...i hope u'll solve my doubt..in listening state switch cant learn mac address , so on which basis switch elect RP and DP in listening state??
oooo sir g tusi great oo... :D
Excellent
Sir Very Nice Tutorial....but when we connect a lot of switch let suppose we connect 10 switches with each other and 5 loops are going to make so how they can compare their MAC address Loop wise...?
thank you sir
can you pleas confirm in which playlist I may find other networking videos like this

Sir IEEE Means Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
wo important Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU) frames which switches exchange are configuration Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs) and topology change Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs). Configuration Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs) are sent between bridges to establish a network topology. Topology change Bridge Protocol Data Units (BPDUs) are sent after a topology change has been detected to indicate that the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) algorithm should be initiated.
The format of IEEE 802.1D Bridge Protocol Data Unit (BPDU) is given below.
• Protocol ID (2 bytes): Contains the value 0000 for IEEE 802.1D
• Version ID (1 byte): Contains the value zero.
• BPDU Message Type (1 byte): Configuration or TCN BPDU
• Flags (1 byte): The Topology Change (TC) bit signals a topology change. The Topology Change Acknowledgment (TCA) bit is set to acknowledge receipt of a configuration message.
1 : Topology Change Flag
2 : unused 0
3 : unused 0
4 : unused 0
5 : unused 0
6 : unused 0
7 : unused 0
8 : Topology Change Ack
• Root Bridge (Root Switch) ID (8 bytes): Identifies the root bridge by listing its 2-byte priority number followed by its 6-byte MAC address.
• Root Path Cost (4 bytes) : Contains the cost of the path from the bridge sending the configuration message to the Root Bridge (Root Switch) .
• Sender Bridge (Switch) ID (8 bytes): Identifies the Sender bridge by listing its 2-byte priority number followed by its 6-byte MAC address.
• Port ID 2 bytes): Identifies the port from which the configuration message was sent.
• Message Age (2 bytes): Specifies the amount of time elapsed since the Root Bridge (Root Switch) sent the configuration message on which the current configuration message is based.
• Maximum Age (2 bytes): Indicates when the current configuration message should be deleted.
• Hello time (2 bytes): Provides the time period between Root Bridge (Root Switch) configuration messages.
• Forward Delay (2 bytes): Provides the length of time that bridges should wait before transitioning to a new state after a topology change.
Sir can you send this pdf
whats meaning of orange light in switch???
it means switch is checking loops in a network, it actually is amber light

i am busy in making those ones.
:) Thanks so much for making this informational Videos.. they are very helpful for me!
I am wondering why the title of this video is in English. How do Hindi speakers know what they're clicking on?
If an English video had a Hindi title, I wouldn't have any idea what the video is.
In the brakets we have mentioned ( Hindi Version )
You can explore ccna topics in this 10 hours video - ruclips.net/video/rv3QK2UquxM/видео.html
