I owned and adored a 1970 Javelin. The 390 in front of the Borg close-ration T-10 trans and (iirc) 3:91 rear end would skit and git. And it stuck to the road as if it were on rails. I don't think I've ever enjoyed a car quite as much as that one.

I reproduced the Carburetor Tag for this car. I'm very stoked to see it on the road and being shown. Thanks Travis for putting your trust in me.

Great story. The 1968-70 Javelins were my favorite AMC cars. I think the AMXs are too stubby in the rear.

AMC always had unique designs...Pacer, Gremlin, Eagle...and the Javelin was like if a Mustang and a Corvette had a sexy bafass baby.

I too read the story in MM and had to see the video. Great job LaVine Restorations. My grand dad had a 68 Javelin, as a 10 year old kid, I tried so hard to get him to go for the AMX I sat in, in the showroom. Didn't work, he needed the back seat.
