Hoi Urby. :-) The melodie just seems to be going up and down over the same 4 notes, repeated over and over and over, only being transported a few times. It only moves up in pitch a bit for the refrain and some high outbursts. At the end not just the notes, but also the lyrics are just only repeated and repeated and repeated.... It just does not make me wánt to listen again or give it more time. That can't be good, right ?
I'm Norwegian and personaly i like Morten, he is or has been a great singer, but this was not a great song. This song is not on the top 10 songs of his. He had a James bond song for crying out loud!
Well, it is Morten...and he does sing well as usual. However, I think that he needs to focus more on a-ha and forget these solo projects. The man can sing, but he sucks at writing lyrics. I have the utmost respect for him as a humanitarian and musician. Great to see him play the guitar for a change though and if this is any indication how the overall theme of his new solo album is going to be...I won't be buying it. It's a disappointment. Thanks.
