If you haven't seen Fantasy in Broodwar, you are one dumb man, if I may be so bold. Fantasy defeated Stork (a PvT specialist) in TWO OSL finals (2008 and 2010). He was a monster.
I disagree the game was never decided, although leenock was ahead at times it was far from decided, so I don't think it was a throw. Many people think that because a player is slightly ahead the game is over (not saying that's ur case anyway).
Lullaby Never said the game was “decided”, but Leenock was definitely quite ahead. Especially considering that this is a pro game, where pros are always capitalizing on small leads and snowballing them. There’s a reason why most people think the game is “over” if the other player is slightly ahead. I would say in 9 times out of 10 games, the pro with a small marginal lead from start is gonna win. Fantasy failed his early harassments almost completely and allowed Leenock to macro up, but Leenock made numerous mistakes that eventually allowed Fantasy to catch up and win. As a Zerg, Leenock had a huge lead there. If you’re trying to debate that Fantasy was actually not that behind then I don’t know what to tell ya, since the man himself said he was very worried since he was behind that last game and talked about how he told himself in that game that “it’s over for me”. Not sure what there is agree or “disagree” about here.
@@AAA-mk7ge that's exactly what I'm talking about 9 out of 10 times is not 10 out of 10 times, you will be more right than wrong, but if you have a commitment with truth and want to be always right, then that won't suffice in the words of slayers_boxer on his bio he says he learned the hard way that it's only over when it's over. Also I consider that to be a throw the game had to be to a point where the advantage was so big the game was decided , and I don't think that was the case there. I do think the game is played in the snowballing effect but I think there's two very big comeback mechanics that is harassment and main engages, trading better. A bad fight and eventually you lost 2k 3k more resources than ur opponent which makes up for 3 or 4 more workers early on. So no I don't think it was nearly decided, and I don't think it was a throw. It was a beautiful game by both players. I can see how in the game he could have thought it was probably over, but it is clear he thought he still had a chance just because he didn't leave yeh.
Fantasy. Deserved that. Leenoch is such an aggressive player. I believe that for fantasy was difficult. But he did well! Cheers for Fantasy. Happy for him!
I'm pretty sure Artosis was saying L-nock (Leenock) for short so he was using Spanish to say "El" knock. El=the...hence the knock. Just his quirky humor which is why Tasteless was laughing hard.
No anti-air = instant loss in a long game. Dunno why zergs never build hydras. Ultra is worst zerg unit. Change my mind! All he needed were ten mutas with the ling-banes at midgame to take out the medivacs when they picked up the marines and he would have won a lonnnng time ago. I can't stand watching bad zerg plays. So irritating...
Except their banter is one of their unique competitive advantages that sets them apart not only are they OG casters, they _know_ what they're talking about and they're entertaining and have been knowing as such for years. It's a pretty rare combination in professional commentary, and people obviously want that banter, or GSL would have found other representation.
They are the first esports english speaking casters ever (and overall second only to whoever was casting SC in Korean language at the time). They are also super good friends. Enjoy the banter, if you watch long enough you'll understand.
Fantasy is instantly one of my favourite players.

Honestly a super cool player, very creative.
Catholic Spaniard not everyone is as old as you. Some of the fans here are new. No need to go around calling people dumb.
Fantasy on that broodwar meta countering Ultras with mines
That was some amazing gameplay from fantasy. Good Job.
24:22 I love these casters so freaking much. They make me laugh all the time. :D
Wow, tastosis were on point today :)
That final game was quite the throw, feel bad for Leenock. Thought he had that for sure.
Cheesenock

Definitely a different look with either hydra or mutalisk
mouth breathers
the commentary back and forth is too much. More focus on the game, more predictions, and less trying to make each other look bad.
you must be new around here...

Lol that was not a good game at all. It was like casting lower tier players
