Hi Kev. I purchased this exact machine as a present to myself. I was drinking coffee in Rome last August and have seen the true difference real espresso can make in the coffee I consume. Your tips on dosing, ratio and grind size are much appreciated. Only found your channel yesterday, and have been enjoying the content. Thanks so much!
Hi Kev, just wanted to say thanks for sending me the discount code the other day. I was lucky to pick up an unused Sage Smart grinder Pro from a local charity shop for £10 and then used your code to get a Sage Bambino for £190 so I'm a very happy and lucky bean 😂 Cheers Hamish
I have discovered a previously unsuspected problem with all this coffee-bothering. I live in a European country where coffee drinking is a big thing. Since acquiring a Sage machine and learning how to operate it with really only a basic level of competence, I now feel dissatisfied with the coffee I get in most cafés...I used to be perfectly happy with it.
Very helpful as always. As a mostly Americano drinker, this combined with the most recent video, has been extremely helpful. Now fully dialled in with the Chocolate Brownie blend and enjoying great coffee. Keep up the great work 🙂
Just ordered my first bag of beans from you. Usually use Rave coffee, time for a change. Trying the Bakewell Tart Bolivia. I will let you know, and leave a review. Love your channel, helped me coming from a fully auto - Jura machine to Sage Barista Express Impress..
Not sure if you’ve shared this before. It’s a huge peeve of mine. People keeping beans in the hopper until it empties. Not storing properly & not realising the effect long term hopper “storage” can have on the bean & taste? Not to mentioned the lack of streaming’s/ cleaning of the hopper to prevent the oils affecting future batches? Love the vids dude!
I thought that setting the coffee brewing time can only be adjusted by the fineness of grinding the beans, I didn't know that you can set the amount of water for brewing yourself.
Love your videos! Still deciding my machine lol. Can I use the Sage B.E grinder to grind for filter coffee? Im a latte/cappuccino lover, my partner is a espresso, but sometimes I wanna an old fashion brazilian filtered coffee, justclike my childhood.
@Kev. Wow I know I heard of people training to become Barista's but never realised just how much work was involved. Kev I commented on your last video upload I believe it was. Question I'm looking to buy a good coffee machine as a Christmas present for my son. Now I know he drinks 2 cups a day. I bought him something you shove a pod in and it was okay for awhile. I'm wondering if you could recommend something that in total would be about €350/€650 max ?. One more thing, he enjoys like cup sizes before he would have a single shot if he's needing a kick to stay awake during the day. Thanks in advance. Pat
Thoroughly enjoying the videos fantastic educational content. I have a Gaggia Cadorna Prestige and changed to a Sage Touch Impress recently. Although I understand the ratio and grind it is not obvious how i program a different ratio into the machine, perhaps you can cover that in some of your up and coming videos, also the milk frothing in auto mode has been not so great, unable to get a micro foam or velvet texture that I like for my flat white. Could it be the fact I use skimmed milk rather than full fat
Hi Heidi, yep, I would definitely try with full fat milk and see how you get on, or alternatively us e a barista style oat milk, I use Mona barista oat milk which is great. Cheers Kev
Which one do you adjust first as they both impact each other? Re shit time and grind size. Also, do you have to keep going back and refining each one, as each one does impact the other?
Hi Kev, no matter what I set in terms of grind size, quantity, basket etc the extraction time is no more than 20 secs. I have also set the internal burr to 3 but the extraction is still fast and the result is not satisfactory even with 1 on the external scale. Could it be a machine fault?
I don't find dialing in or staying dialed in to be difficult. One click up, or one click down throughout the week. I set my volumetric high for the preset and just stop when I get to 30 grams of espresso (that gives me 32 and I use a 16 gram dose). But I get it, my wife pushes the button and walks away.
Hi Andrew, the new barista touch impress is the only machine on the market at present that assists dialing in:ruclips.net/video/x9pGv0ZdTlk/видео.html Cheers Kev
Thank you Kev, got my new Sage express impress thanks to all your videos

Hi Darius, yes, I think a lot of people think the same, so hopefully this video helps more people to understand how their machines work,

Do you have a webpage/blog with a list of good UK based roasters anywhere? cheers
I do 😀: coffeeblog.co.uk/coffee-roasters-uk/
Hi Mr Botherer. I guess a review of the Nanofoamer pro will have to happen. Peace love and ukulele
Dailing in is a pain.... but whats one to do, more geek videos are welcome 😊
More to come I promise!

Hi, is there anything I should be aware of when trying to dial in decaf coffee beans?

Hi Kev. How can i reset The Impress Express - i changed the shot- and want to have ist back to the Standard when I got the machine …

How much difference does changing the temperature make

What about pressure?
Why can't coffee machines be made to do the dialing in for you
Hi Andrew, the new barista touch impress is the only machine on the market at present that assists dialing in:ruclips.net/video/x9pGv0ZdTlk/видео.html

Also the machine does not no your taste preference.
What I might think is dialed in might not fit your preference.
