Great review. After keeping my eye on the market, I ended up buying an A6 all road this past weekend. It's an incredible car. In my mind, a perfect daily driver. I ended up buying a used one. There was literally less than 100 used A6 all roads available across the USA lol. So it's definitely not widely available, unless of course you want to buy it new. I'm very happy with the purchase. Your points about isolation are spot on. It really does absorb every imperfection in the pavement, you cannot feel a thing. Of course, if you're looking for a sports car, look elsewhere. But to me, this has plenty of pep in its step. This is not meant to be a sports car. It's meant to be a daily driver/familycar That's fun to drive and different than the sea of SUVs. If you're debating on if you should buy this, I would highly recommend it.
I have a 2016 mazda 3 hatchback. Love it. Ever since I would not want a sedan. I want a wagon next and the A6 Allroad would be ideal for what I need it for. Lol i will get one used and pay cash because I have not had a car payment in years.
Great review. I've been watching all the reviews on the a6 allroad that I can. Been on the fence between this and the Volvo V60 Recharge (Polestar). Have you had a chance to review that one? I'll take any swaying input at this point haha. Thanks!
I am in the same boat you are, V60 Recharge Polestar or A6 Allroad? I just drove the S60 today (since V60s are impossible to find and test drive) and previously drove the A6 Allroad. The Recharge has very impressive performance (both in full power and pure electric modes), Brembro brakes, best B+W audio system and impressive mileage. The Audi is definitely more luxurious (powered steering column, ventilated seats, air suspension, ambient lighting, better standard leather), bit more space, and just a bit more technology. It's just a matter of whether the few extra thousands of dollars are worth it. For me, my wife is shorter, and it looks like the dealer breaker for the Volvo are the taller seat back and fixed head restraint. (She would have to sit on cushion.) The Audi has more seat range with our 8" height difference.
@@boscogong4242 Just got back from test driving a v60 recharge that arrived at the dealer today. They let me jump in and drive it before delivery to the buyer. Very impressive performance indeed. I'd been concerned about the potential sound of the 4 cylinder when throttled but it wasn't bad at all. The potential downfall for me was the road feel. Seemed like the v60 felt every bump in the road. Could be that the ohlins suspension could be adjusted in such a way that I'd get more comfort, but I expected more. Certainly a sportier ride, although quiet. Wasn't a big fan of the seats either. They were fine for my test drive but I found myself moving around to get more comfortable on a few different occasions. Looking forward to test driving the allroad next!
We have a 2023 A6 Allroad Presitge waiting for us at port, right now! Can‘t wait! Question: I can’t confirm that we have 4 wheel steering, anywhere. You mention it in your review, but, I cannot find it anywhere in Audi’s info. Can you confirm and where do you see your info? Our 2019 Q7 Prestige had 4 wheel steering, and I LOVED how it shortened our turning radius, and gave it quicker reflexes! I’m hoping it’s coming on our new Allroad, as well.
So I had to dig a little to get this info and I don't know the accuracy, but, the 2020 model year of the all road did have rear wheel steering. It seems like after 2020, due to shortage, its not on the option list. It's strange.
If you don't order the upgraded audio system it comes with the compact spare instead of the subwoofer. I just visited the Audi dealer today to take one more look at the Allroad and comparing it to the Volvo S60/V60 Recharge. The Volvo's PHEV is really impressive (faster than the S5 Sportback) and very usable on full electric, but everything else in the Audi seems to be nicer (with the exception of Brembro brakes on Polestar).
Your acceleration test and impressions are faulty. Dynamic mode will change the suspension and steering, but you need to change from "D" (Drive) to "S" (Sport) with the gear shifter (click to Drive twice) to change the engine response and transmission settings.
If you look closely, it went from D to S1, which means it automatically did the switch. It does the same on my A5, when I put it in Dynamic, it goes from D to S automatically
Offroad???? Hahaha..... I'm giggling right now... I'd love to see someone going offroad with these wagons.... the only offroading they'll do is on the parking lots of Walmart and Costco.....even that, there's no guarantee they'll make it across the bumps
The sticker doesn’t add up. A Prestige a6 allroad with luxury package is 77k online. In 2023. Some of these Moroney stickers are bogus and not accurate.
Sorry, I disagree, this is not a car to drive after work... this is a car designed to put a lot of miles on the road and drive across the country quietly.
How funny.... to say that this wagon feels more like an SUV than a car is like saying a cross-dresser feels more like a natural woman than a man.....😅😅😅😅 😅 oh please, everyone know a wagon is a car no trunk....
"wagons are a cross breed between a sedan and an SUV, but from behind the wheel they definitely feel more like an SUV rather than a sedan." Dude you know nothing about cars. Stop reviewing them. This A6 avant is almost identical to the sedan. The equivalent SUV (q7/q8) is miles different.
Yes, it's an "absolutely wonderful car" that can take you fast on the expressway to bankruptcy..... repair costs is horrendously expensive..... reliability is poor.... do not own pass warranty.....if buy used, you need to purchase extended warranty
Do you love wagons?
Yes!

Such an awesome car. Definitely one of my favorite as a daily driver
This just checks all of the boxes. I bet it’s a great winter car!
Perfect car for family.
Still have my Acura TSX wagon. I love wagons
you have won over and over.
Good review, glad I saw it.

Haven't driven the Volvo yet. But, I can tell you that the Audi is one of my favorites. The all around capabilities are wonderful

Great review ! Does it come with spare tire ?

Like it, and got it
Rear wheels that turn?!?!😮

Interesting.....
No towing capacity or factory towing option. Really? What a disappointment. Love everything else about it.

On the lowest level of the suspension it's even "more" car than the regular car😅
