At least by the end of the film, the two boys realise they are meant for each other but even though they have to part for the present, the audience is comforted by the thought that there is a new life together for them post their school days. The analysis and thoughts of the narrator are interesting and instructive. I would like to add this film is a world away from the BL dramas served up elsewhere where by necessity, it is not so violent and imbued with such gritty realism; the place for that is in the cinema.
True :) This is one of my favorite movies. This entire production and all the actors did such an amazing job. I am saddened by the sad event that inspired this movie but I feel this movie achieved its purpose, and I think there is not one person that would watch it and not be moved by it.
YongJu dropping out was the ultimate "fuck you" to the school system. He was told that nothing mattered unless he got into Seoul University, and he should just study; completely and blatantly ignoring the fact that he was reporting school violence simply because they wanted to use YongJu as a bragging right.
I definitely have to agree with the amazing acting on Kwak Siyang’s end. So delicate and so detailed. The story is so heartbreaking and the reality even more so

Night Flight is truly a masterpiece, it's an artwork left in a niche museum just because the artist(director-nim) messed up... In fact, in the fujoshi circle, Night Flight is a pretty well-known and famous BL work from the Korean industry. It's a classic, and no old timer BL fan would not know of Night Flight. 🤧 Right now, the BL industry in Korea is grafually coming to rise as a lot of Korean BL web dramas have popped up in the past 2 years. But all of them are nowhere Night Flight's niche genre and realism. Night Flight was just so beautiful, and the actors are the real deal... 🤧♥️ Thank you for coverung this film ♥️

요즘 우리나라 퀴어 컨텐츠들의 방향에 대한 우려는 정말 공감합니다... 물론 퀴어컨텐츠가 더이상 음지 문화에서 머물지 않고 대중적인 사랑을 받으면서 인식의 변화를 불러올 수도 있고 퀴어컨텐츠는 무조건 어둡고 현실적이어야 한다는 건 아닙니다. 하지만 성소수자들이 겪는 현실의 문제는 모두 외면하면서 그저 잘생긴 남자 둘이 꽁냥대는 걸 보여주면 장땡인 컨텐츠 시장이 된 것 같아서 살짝 씁쓸합니다.
I don't remember how I ended up watching this film. But it impressed me a lot, I couldn't watch the rape scene at all, it was too much for personal reasons but the acting skills from the guys, made me their life time fan. I'm not Korean obviously and I couldn't believe that the bullying at schools, reach this level of violence. I loved the video, thank you so much.

This movie made me cry so hard, it was as if I felt the pain of the characters and their feelings in every scene. There is just one thing I would like to ask as a 17 yo girl, why don't adults take measures against this bullying system? I have personally experienced my friend getting bullied and assaulted in middle school and no matter how many times or how many ways I and my friends complained to the teachers or the principal no steps were taken against them. It's not that they couldn't they simply DID NOT. Instead they advised my parents to make me stay away from my friends! Why ? Because I was the top student and represented THIS SHITTY SCHOOL ! Thankfully my parents were very supportive of my desicion when I wanted to change school along with my friend, and were EVEN MORE SUPPORTIVE when I slammed the principal's desk and called him and the school authorities a JERK !

(소수자들에겐 더욱 거칠고 험난한 물길로 둘러싸인 섬이겠지요…) 하지만 각자의 섬들이 서로의 고독을 공감하고 이해하려는 많은 경험들이 있어 매일을 그럭저럭 우리는 ‘함께’ 살아가는 게 아닐까요? 하이퍼리얼리즘같은 현실을 보다보니 맴이 깝깝해 져서 주저리 써봤어요. 우연히 채널봤는데 꼬치님의 감각과 갬성, 담담한 목소리가 조쿠뇨. 잘 봤음다.

i remember first time i saw this movie. i usually deeply effected by realism and darkness in movies so it wasn't so surprising to feel in this one too. even that violent scene was so good in there. violent is in nature and we can't deny it. we always could try to be good ones but it is still a natural response for intense emotion and situations. those bursts are touched my soul.

To say otherwise is to diminish the great accomplishment of this most talented man whose legacy in film is his alone and no others. All three films were brilliant. No Regrets will always be my absolute favourite Korean BL genre film. It was the very first film I'd seen of this genre when it was first released and it left a a major impression on me. I hope more directors take on the challenge to show representation of society as it is today and tell the stories that needs to be told.

The damage bullying does to a child can be life lasting for many. The sad part is after high school no one will bully you like that again. I know when I changed schools my experience was completely different and I was no longer the gay kid to pick on. Anyway hoping to visit Korea this year just hope this virus goes away. Stay safe

I like Director Lee -Song Hee-Il No Regret is probably his best film. Lee Song films never go the way you think they…should or not! There is a scene in White Night…when the two leads are walking on a mountain side with a city view..just talking…AND..It begins to Snow…Real Snow? Or Computer Snow? I have always remember that scene on how Beautiful and Peaceful it was. All of Lee-Song Films have truly Human Conflict! I truly never would be apart of that much emotional let down or have to place a lot of emotional energy into another Human! I do realize that Love Between Anyone truly can be difficult…But in Lee-Song’s Film ..since they are Gay..They must endure..Double Dose of Extra Bullshit. 🥴 It is Clear to me and others who have witnessed Lee Song’s Films about this constant Conflict between the two male leads, and turmoil they all had in school…That Lee-Song must of had a similar up bringing as All his films has shown…Let it Go Girl! 😜🥰 Gloom Despair, Agony On Me! Deep Dark Depression, Excessive Misery! 🥴😜 See Who Catches That! 😜 No Regret I have seen on multiple times. I Get It, I Like it! It is Well Written and has some truly lovely moments. But also it is at times a truly sad and tragic moments. But Hell that is all about Lee-Song Films. How about a truly straight thru Happy Gay Film…Without any torment! 😜🥰 Thomas

이송희일 감독 영화는 예전에는 보면서 ?!하면서 놀랬는데(아무래도 제일 어릴 때 본게 후회하지 않아 이다보니...ㅋㅋㅋ) 시간이 지나고 나서 보면 찬 현실적으로 그려낸 것 같아요... 저는 개인적으로 진짜 주변에 좋은 친구들이 많아서 정말... 그냥 자연스럽게 넘어갔거든요. 저도 친한친구들에게는 크게 무겁게 꺼내지 않았고 친구들도 그랬고요. 물론 그 선 밖의 사람들이나 가족들한테는 말할생각도 없긴 하지만... 말이 횡설수설하긴한데 ㅋㅋㅋ 그래서 전 이 영화보고나서 오히려 난 정말 운이 좋았구나- 라는 생각을 가진것같아요... 성별이 달라서 그런건가 싶기도 했었는데, 주변보면 그건또 확실히 아닌것같고... 직접적인 폭력뿐 아니라 언어로도 큰 상처는 받으니까요.

I dont know what Lee Song Hee-Il actually did, sexual harassment can be pretty wide, but i have to say i will always love and admire each of his movies and short films. To me he is a real great underates director and he fully deserved his award in Berlin. Even his debut movie in the short opus Camelia was soooo great !

리뷰를 다 보고 드는 의문은 왜 등장하는 거의 대부분의 청소년들에게는
어른같은 어른이 단 한 명도 없을까? 왜 이토록 잔인하리만치 각자가 혼자서 버텨야만 하는가? 입니다.
물론, 영화적으로 극대화된 상황도 있겠죠.
하지만 인간은 원래 고독한 섬과 같다고 생각합니다.
(소수자들에겐 더욱 거칠고 험난한 물길로 둘러싸인 섬이겠지요…)
하지만 각자의 섬들이 서로의 고독을 공감하고 이해하려는 많은 경험들이 있어
매일을 그럭저럭 우리는 ‘함께’ 살아가는 게 아닐까요?
하이퍼리얼리즘같은 현실을 보다보니 맴이 깝깝해 져서 주저리 써봤어요.

i remember first time i saw this movie. i usually deeply effected by realism and darkness in movies so it wasn't so surprising to feel in this one too. even that violent scene was so good in there. violent is in nature and we can't deny it. we always could try to be good ones but it is still a natural response for intense emotion and situations. those bursts are touched my soul.

이송희일 감독님 작품이었군요. 굵직한 배우들이 나와서 더 완성도가 높아 보입니다. 예전에 본 작품인데 너무 처절해서 가슴 먹먹했던 기억이 나네요
Two years ago? No matter, I agree with you wholeheartedly, the movie is the sole work of director Lee Song Hee-il. To say otherwise is to diminish the great accomplishment of this most talented man whose legacy in film is his alone and no others. It is not enough to end his career now he is to be stripped of his life's work? I am both offended and angry at such a blatant attempt to rob a great film maker.
Kwak Siyang deserves so much more. He's an amazinh actor!

All three films were brilliant. No Regrets will always be my absolute favourite Korean BL genre film. It was the very first film I'd seen of this genre when it was first released and it left a a major impression on me.
I hope more directors take on the challenge to show representation of society as it is today and tell the stories that needs to be told.

@@dvd6986 I agreed with your view on how many actors play gay characters. I also was someone who was bullied in school for being a gay kid. The damage bullying does to a child can be life lasting for many. The sad part is after high school no one will bully you like that again. I know when I changed schools my experience was completely different and I was no longer the gay kid to pick on. Anyway hoping to visit Korea this year just hope this virus goes away. Stay safe

I like Director Lee -Song Hee-Il No Regret is probably his best film. Lee Song films never go the way you think they…should or not! There is a scene in White Night…when the two leads are walking on a mountain side with a city view..just talking…AND..It begins to Snow…Real Snow? Or Computer Snow? I have always remember that scene on how Beautiful and Peaceful it was. All of Lee-Song Films have truly Human Conflict! I truly never would be apart of that much emotional let down or have to place a lot of emotional energy into another Human! I do realize that Love Between Anyone truly can be difficult…But in Lee-Song’s Film ..since they are Gay..They must endure..Double Dose of Extra Bullshit. 🥴
It is Clear to me and others who have witnessed Lee Song’s Films about this constant Conflict between the two male leads, and turmoil they all had in school…That Lee-Song must of had a similar up bringing as All his films has shown…Let it Go Girl! 😜🥰

"Night Flight" is a FANTASTIC MOVIE. Legendary for Korean BL Movies. I LOVED this story. I hope the actors are doing well, they did such a great job. By the way, Thank You for this "review". It is spot on. Everything you said was right and I have watched this movie several times already so I can tell you you got it right with everything you said. I do hope the director will do more movies. The director, Lee Song Hee-il, is BRILLIANT.
