As evidenced by the comment below, many are ignorant of the fact that in this particular automobile there is always a good amount of oil left above the oil filter, even after you let the oil drain for quite some time. So for anyone who changes the oil in this model and doesn't want a bunch of oil dripping down their hand when they remove the filter, put a ziploc type of plastic bag over the filter and then un-screw.
You do not want to substitute. But make sure you are stating the correct oil weight for your car. I don't know where you are located, but US spec non-turbo oil weight is different from non-US non-turbo weight. Turbo engine oil weight is the same for US and non-US. Mazda does list substitute weights for non-US cars, but no non-US car uses 0w-20 to begin with.
Very informative video. Thank you!
Excellent video covering all details that others miss 👌🏻

Everything I need to know, Thank You...
Thanks bro. I was wondering where a good spot for the jack stands would be since i'll be using 2 jacks at the sides like you did. Much appreciated.

You don't need to remove the center plastic clip...
what was the torque requirement for the drain plug?
25 foot pounds from what I’ve read
If you can't find 0 -20 weight what can you substitute it with
5W-30 in most places is fine also.
You should only use 0W20 as for what the manufacturer states. I would not use anything else except for the approved grade of engine oil.

Only turbo needs 5.25 liters
you never gave the torque spec for oil drain bolt
23 to 30 foot pounds.
@@moosemobileautorepair thank you
@@moosemobileautorepair would you happen to know foot pounds for lug nuts for cx5?
Seems like you should have given a little more time to drain down
It doesn't matter how long a time you give to this particular car for the oil to drain, there is always a great amount of oil left above the filter.
