I'd say Baki does a great job of that. Wouldn't recommend it if you don't like endless fights with insane amounts of gore. Because the story is nothing to write home about.
With someone like noi around, it pretty much becomes an afterthought lol. As for other magic users and the denizens of hole, there is a thriving medical smoke industry gunning for noi's smoke in the manga. Even then, a single turn of events in-universe is enough to end both parties regardless.

@@_Tunji ok *[spoiler warning]* well without giving everything away lizard boy is like three different main characters(amnesia and time travel shenanigans are involved) and everything revolves about him and one other character the leader of the cross eyes who is also multiple people who will come into focus later. the ending of this story gets real F-ing confusing [when doesn't time travel get confusing] i still don't know if i get all of it. but together they are the main pivot points of the story and there for the main characters because without them the rest of the story never happens.

I know right! Dorohedoro was first published in 2000. I'm sure she did take inspiration from the first 3 films, but En predates Immortan Joe, so it's possible they also took inspiration from her.

And Stating that En's mask design predates Immortan Joe's 2014 design. Comic book artist Brendan Mcarthy designed Fury Road, and I'm sure he has a broader scope of influences within comic books than 'what's popular'. It is possible, I'm not saying it's definitive.
Shin is such a gentleman but he's not the only gentleman in dorohedoro if you have read the manga. (SPOILERS) -There's also Aikawa giving his jacket to Nikaido when she's naked. -Ton also gave his jacket to Natsuki when she's also naked. -Asu lending his chef uniform to Nikaido when she's naked again. -Kaiman covering his eyes in front of naked Nikaido again and tells her to put some clothes on. -lastly, Ebisu and Dokuga lending their clothes to naked En.
My mother walked in on this scene. She asked what foolishness I watched on TV. I couldn't defend myself. This is gore for shock value. Worse yet, it would have been weird to explain the plot to her so she just moved on.
Don't let this distract you from the fact that their "dearest memory" is when they both ended up driving off a cliff together.
