I hated when Ebisu destroyed Matsumura's remains and felt bad for Fujita those times Noi was condescendant to him, but still loved them all. Also, when Caiman killed the carpet driver, shame on him.
I love how this show can go from brutal action scenes to scenes like this were they characters are just be lovable. I mean even En whose supposed to be sort of the main villain is funny on his own and you can’t even really hate him. I really hope this gets picked up for another season I need more of this
En is simply the protagonist of another story. There's no real antagonists in Dorohedoro, just people who oppose each other. Although you should stay tuned for Season 2. There is ONE character that might acurately be described as an antagonist.

Having seen both of them I say the anime is pretty much following the manga but the additional stories are not all adapted yet. There is an OAV of Dorohedoro covering these side stories giving you more lore, I advise you to watch it
Well, it's because the 12 anime episodes followed the completed manga which went on for like 130 chapters. While adaptation is a job never to be taken lightly, if you solely have to adapt a part of the source material, the job really gets easier since you only have to set episode ending points in the end since the writing, directing, worldbuilding etc. work was taken off of you. I mean, GoT is a prime example of how a series was "good" while just mooching off an existing series and completely going to shit once the source material ran out, so honestly, if hacks like D&D can adapt competently, this doesn't seem to be that much an accomplishment.
When I first saw images of dorohedoro I was pretty put off and thought I wasn’t interested, but RUclips slowly kept recommending neat little clips of it and I’ve come to enjoy how whacky and wholesome it is.
When i read the first chapter of the manga i didn't like the art style then i watched the anime like two weeks later and fell in love with it on the first episode crazy how if the anime never came out i would've never read another chapter of dorohedoro
For all the shit RUclips has become over the years I have to give credit where credit is due. Their recommendation algorithm works wonderfully. I've gotten into several new anime over the months just from watching random clips of shows slowing ebbing at my curiosity.
The reason I didn’t watch it is because Crunchyroll ads are fucking terrible and make every anime they advertise look terrible. Like they’re so bad at advertising something that I wouldn’t be surprised if that “assassins pride” filth was actually good and Crunchyroll somehow made it look like garbage

I was actually at a Hayashida Q art expo in Shibuya last week and one of the artist notes straight up said the masks were inspired by Slipknot. Actually saw a surprising amount of Slipknot merch while I was in a Japan. As an Iowan it was pretty crazy.
