Altair's armor is so awesome, and it's so easy to get. The really difficult thing to obtain is "the truth", which is a real pain, but it leaves you with this feeling of accomplishment.
I got this game, I have to say I"m really impressed with the story line, connects so well and makes you think back from Ac1 how it connects with this one. I would say more but not gonna spoil sorry.
This is totally outstanding. Combination of Tomb Rider and Prince of Persia acrobatic and puzzle solver. Got the Black Box edition and waiting for release date.

If you haven't played AC before it depends: If you really like story and want to follow it start to finish just start with AC1 (AC has a great story). If story isn't extremely important start with AC2 (best game in the franchise IMO). AC1 is a good game but the gameplay gets very repetitive, AC2 fixes that, AC:B improves on AC2's formula, and AC:R is exactly too similar to AC:B but it's story makes up for that a little bit.
@oldhamj12 *spoilers* yeah it is. After you complete all the hidden entry places aka, assassins tombs, you get altair's armor. Don't let the name fool you, you won't look like altair but you get a bad ass black suit. The armor is actually armor he created, stronger, lighter, better than anything in his time. He used the apple of eden to learn how to make it.
People who are planning to buy this game, just a word of advice, this game does not have online, but it has a great story that I think will last longer then mw2's online gameplay. Also, this game should've got game of the year =(.
To answer the questions about his costume design, ubisoft has implemented some features so that the player can change the look of Ezio's attire. Dies can be found, as well as diffrent styles of a similar outfit. Equipmentwise, he can buy weapons and you can switch out your arms later. By arms I mean weapons. Not his hidden blades. :)
Got this yesterday (Friday). You get to wear Altiar's armour and purchase his sword. Im on memory 10 and i would give this game a 10/10. If you are having second thoughts on buying it, don't this is a must buy! :)
@soulmusic82 Yes,they were also talking about Egypt and I have heard something about a female assassin during WWII.I'm sure that the game will be fantastic,regardless of the setting.

@ xxSyhpenxx with the multiplayed it doesnt have to be ezio, it could just be another character that you chose. like a default guy that you can customise and buy armour/weapons as you gain experience etc.

yea..AC2 is a great-open world game..and not only that..but the enivorment..and the 'people' are alive..realilty is focus on this game..wherelse COD trophies are good enough to earn..and i'am 80% trophies at COD MW2..
Just bought it two days ago !!! Its now completely like GTA !! , but in late-medieval times. You can even earn money, and rule over your own city and castle, buy upgrades and soldiers for protection !!! also you're totally free, and there's more cities to visit. ps: Leonardo Da Vinci seems to be in the game, he gives you some tasks and jobs, also Cassanova : he let's you deliver love letters in Firenze !!! kick ass game !!!
the diffculty setting for AC2 is just stragety...proably a guess would be normal-hard..and i give you a tip..when fighting brute..those heavy armor guards at 2.49..you cannot do instant kill with swords..you can only dodge their attacks..only hidden blades is an instant-counter kill and lances,Axe,Hammer only..and other normal guards ... all weapons are counter-killers
just read the previous comments and fortunately, now i do get it!:) like Lizardman0354 said, metal doesn't necessarily have to be heavy...and there surely would be more than 1 variety of metal in the world (especially during the renaissance), which all vary both in weight and durability.
@RomanianPrototype The game only runs on a 16:9 aspect ratio. On any resolution that doesn't have an aspect ratio of 16:9 (These resolutions ARE 16:9: 1280x720, 1600x900, 1920x1080 etc), you will see black bars to make sure you watch an image of the game with said aspect ratio. Your game is rendered in 800x450, which is in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
i don't think FPS shooter game can be compared to adventure games..AC2 isn't repeative,more variety of choices..free-runing,theft,new assassinating moves...and its the only game that i seen brings the people to 'life'..i believe this game focus on realitily
